WDW Kennels?

i'm new to DisBoards so i'm not sure if this was discussed already but i have a question regarding the kennels. My family and I are going down to Disney in a few weeks and i was wondering if anyone had any expeirence with there kennels? I have a 2 year old mini daschund whose a spoiled brat to say the least and was interested in how the kennels worked. i've read all about them online but was just curious to hear about some personal experiences with them.

My DBF's old roommate worked in the Kennels at WDW, so I have been in the area where the animals are kept, it is very organized and clean, I have seen the animals walked regularly. Bring a couple toys and maybe a favorite blanket and it will be set!

wdw kennels are at Epcot, Studios, AK, and TTC (ticket & transportation center in front of the MK)

you will need to walk your pet. Epcot did walk the pet once a day. but you will need to walk it too.

if you can't find the time to walk your pet - then don't take him to a WDW kennel.

there are other kennels in the area.

The two times we had our dog in, we had to go back & walk her ourselves. We were staying at Fort Wilderness in our trailer, so she had to stay there the whole week. That was quite a few years ago, though. The were very professional & the kennels were kept clean. We sent our dog with my father's shirt & a few toys. Nothing but positive things to report.

My fiance has kept our dog in the TTC kenel as well as the MGM kenel. Good things to report from both, but she has mentioned several times that she thought the MGM one was better. Perhaps because the facilites are newer?
