WDW June 16-23. What should we expect...

We have been to WDW during the spring break season and we really didn't mind it much. We are going to be there this june 16-23. We are staying in POR and we are 4 adults so we dont have any children with us. I have heard horror stories of crowds and people hating it. We have all of our ADR's booked. We are planning on having a good time and not running running ourselves exhausted.

touringplans.com lists most of the days at 8 and two of them are listed as 9. What should we expect as far as crowds?

I would look at touringplans too for spring break crowd numbers and compare....probably also in the 8-9 range, so if you really didn't mind it much, you won't have any trouble.

June will be much hotter though, and more likely to rain longer than March.

The have the spring break week we were there as 7 & 8. The week for June is 8 & 9 so I guess there wont be much of a difference. Thanks for your help

Crowds will be comparable with spring break. The real difference is hot, hot, hot and wet, wet, wet. Orlando in June is just a few degrees cooler than the sun, and then just when you think it cannot get hotter, it rains and gets hotter. Not having kids and planning out at least the 1st couple of hours of touring each day will go far in making it enjoyable.

Also, EMH parks are typically to be avoided IMHO during the peak months.

I went last June around those same dates and it was fine. Basically like everyone else, expect it to be VERY hot. Nasty, sticky hot. lol. So just be sure to keep cool as much as possible. You will thank yourself. Maybe make time in the day for a dip in the pool? And be prepared for rain. Much more likely to rain during June and July. For us I think it rained two of the days we were done. We were leaving Magic Kingdom when it just started DOWN POURING! Oh man. It sure does come down and fast. The other day we were down in Key Largo so not sure how it was in Orlando.

Either way, hope you have tons of fun! No kids during those hot summer months will help you stay sane I'm sure. haha.

We were there at that time this past year. VERY hot, but you know that.
We tried to be at a non EMH park at it's opening and we'd fastpass and ride our way through the morning and after lunch we would either go back and swim or do a few more rides. We just had rain showers, it never rained all day. I thought it worked out very well.

We were there that time last year and survived. Actually, had a blast. ADR's, FP, using Unofficial Guide's advice about which parks/which days--etc--all paid off nicely, with little (less than 15 min.) wait times. Enjoy!

Plan for alot of heat, crowds and RAIN .

We were there once for spring break and then again last July - although the touring plans predicted large crowds (8s I think) in July - we felt they were nothing compared to spring break. I specifically noticed in MK in the Dumbo area of Fantasyland - during spring break the crowd was so thick you couldn't see across the area but in July there was plenty of room to walk and it seemed almost empty.

It might rain, but we only had a few short lasting downpours, we were able to get under cover and take a coke break.

As for the heat - we had bought these things called kewl neck ties - you soak them in ice water and tie them around your neck, they really helped keep you cooler throughout the day. It is still hot but bearable. The few times we didn't wear them we noticed it. I found them on a website posted on the boards - I think it was called "the crafty wench" - they had really cute mickey mouse ties.
