wdw January???

has anybody been to wdw in january....mid jan, to be exact....over the mlk holiday...several days before & after....is this a busy time...a big "holiday time" like over president's day? lmk

January this year we were there 13-16. I really liked it then. Not hot, especially in the morning.

I don't recall the crowds being bad at all. Waits were minimal for just about everything.

We walked right on Kali River Rapids....two of us even got our own raft.

We have been several times in January. But not MLK weekend. Crowds were light, weather sometimes cooler. but always a great time. One year we had high 70's everyday, another it was downright cold. But always light crowds.

You have Disney Marathon Weekend beginning Jan 7, the 5K race on Jan 8 and Marathon and 1/2 Marathong on Jan 9. Awards ceremony on Jan 10.

we scheduled our trip so it would start on the 12th.....after the marathon.....we're originally from the south so i'm not sure about all the regional time off.....i don't think we have a choice in changing our dates...we just want to be prepared....the marathon crowds should be gone by then....we're there until the 18th so i suppose there should be some down time.
