I'm looking at planning a trip for either early October or early December?
What is the weather like in December? Cold? We did WDW Jan 2014 and it was cold. So, since we've done WDW in the cold I'd rather not do it again when it's cold. But I think my kids would really enjoy the Christmas party/parade and the Frozen Holiday wish(will they be doing that again?)

Not sure about the frozen holiday again next year, but we love both those times of year to go. October for F&W/MNSSHP and dec for the holidays.
Either time is great!

No Clue but I just did a quick search the weather in October seems very mild. We are also going to WDW in OCtober 2015 for MNSSHP and hope to have nice weather.

Temperature 75°F 24°C
Low Temperature 65°F 18°C
High Temperature 84°F 29°C
Sunshine Hours 8 hrs
Chance of Sunny Day 63 %
Rainfall 86mm
Chance of Rain 25 %
Chance of Cloudy Day 9 %
Sea Temperature 81°F 27°C
Chance of Windy Day 5 %

We just went Nov 30th-Dec 5th, average was about 79-80 daily, a few showers, but nothing crazy.
I will say, tho, the weather the week before and the week after was in the 60s, water parks closed. So we got lucky. :goodvibes
We are going Oct 2015 for MNSSHP, second to last week. :thumbsup2

First week of December 2014 was IMO ideal touring weather - short sleeves all day long but not so hot that we got sweaty. But it seems like it's the luck of the draw and you could get sweater weather. October is much hotter and also rainier. We did December this year for a non-pool trip (my kid doesn't swim unless it's like 90!) and loved the Christmas decorations. This year we will go in October for more swimming weather.

We went in early October and it was gorgeous! Low crowds and perfect weather, (if you want it hot). It was high 80's-90's daily, we swam every night after the parks. I have heard it can rainy then but it didn't rain the week we were there except for a light sprinkle one morning for a few minutes. So I would go in October. I would love to see the xmas décor one year though, I hear its busy near xmas so I would go early Dec. if that's when you decide to go. I also worry about sickness, December is when sickness' really pick up, especially if you are flying...Have a great trip:goodvibes

We have gone a lot during both time periods, and I give the slight edge to October, mainly due to weather. Both times are great though.

Those are our 2 favorite times of the year. October should definitely be swimming weather. The fall decorations at MK are great. I am by far a Christmas person more than a Halloween person, but I have to say that MNSSHP party is much better than MVMCP (although I do love MVMCP too). It is so fun to see all the adults and kids in costume, and all the special lighting and decorations for the party, and we love the Haunted Mansion magic shots and also the special Haunted Mansion characters and lighting. It can feel pretty hot in the afternoons in October, and there will likely be more afternoon rain showers in October. DH is a huge fan of Food & Wine at EPCOT, so that is a big plus for October.

We have been multiple times in December and the temperatures have ranged from 40 degrees for a high to 90 degrees for a high. You never know what you are going to get. You might not get any swimming weather, or the whole week might be swimming weather. We went the 3rd week in December one year and the temperatures were between 80 and 90 pretty much the whole week. We were hot. We have gone the week after Thanksgiving multiple years and at least one year we started the week at highs of around 80 and in the parks day and night in shorts, and ended the week with highs in the low 40s in sweaters, coats and gloves day and night. You just don't know what you are going to get until you get there. The weather changes fast that time of year and you can't trust the forecast even the day before you go. We have found the weather variety kind of fun though. I will say that if swimming is important to you, we hardly ever hit the pool in our December trips. That said, we love WDW during the holiday season. We love all the decorations. We love the Osborne lights (assuming that they come back this year). We do love MVMCP and the Christmas parade and castle show and being able to see the Princes with their Princesses at MVMCP (again assuming that still happens this year).

They are both great times to go!!!

How were the crowds ? Did you need FP? We are going same time this year !!

We did RD for all the parks except Epcot.
MK changed their opening hours to 8am a couple weeks before we left.
1st MK day, NOv 30th, we were right behind the CMs walking down Mainstreet. We cut off into Adventureland, it was empty except for our group, CM and another woman, we were on the first boat at JC.
MK on Dec 2nd we went to Tomorrowland first, again, empty! Space 2x, Buzz 2x.

We did use FPs, especially if you plan to ride SDMT. We actually had FP for both MK days for it.
AK we didn't need our FPs, except for Safari, and that ended up being our longest wait I think. With FP we waited about 20 minutes... :confused3
We rode EE 2x.
Crowds felt busy, but waits in the mornings were very low!
We also did Universal/IOA in one day, on the Wednesday. I bought Express passes, didn't need them really. Never waited more than 5 minutes, except for the new HP ride, we waited 15 minutes for it. :goodvibes
Fantastic week!! Have a great time!!
