What's it like weather wise? Warm enough for shorts and sandals? Is swimming even possible? How about crowd wise? We're going from 11/11-11/15. TIA!! :)

You have picked THE perfect time to go!!! You miss the "Jersey week" crowds, Super Soap Weekend crowds, and crowds from the F&W festival.
We have gone the same week many times. You will get to also enjoy less crowds because you will be gone before the Thanksgiving crowds arrive.

The lines will be 5-10 min or less. It is not uncommon for us to just walk on some rides. The more popular rides do have lines but not all the time and fast pass usually helps with that. The weather usually is between high 70's low 80's. We always swim in Nov. The afternoons definately get hot enough and the pools are heated! I usually wear capris and t's and DH and the kids always wear shorts and t's. At night it does get alittle cool sometimes. So, we bring a light jacket and I usually have 1 pair of pants for each of us just in case.

You are going to love this time of year and be spoiled by the lack of crowds and beautiful weather! Oh, and you'll get to see the resorts decorated for X-Mas and the parks transform around that time too!

We are in the planning stages for a trip that week too!!

Actually, the decorations for xmas do not start going up until the week of Thanksgiving. But other than that, it is a great time to go!

Everytime we've gone the week before Thanksgiving all the resorts we visit are already decorated. This has been the past 3-4 years. It seems to be earlier and earlier evey year. On our first trip at this time we were at the GF and were able to sit in the lobby and watch them put up the tree and decoration all night! That was awesome. The last Nov trip the resort(BW) was already decorated when we arrived! Also, the parks were starting to decorate. None of the X-mas shows or parties like Candle light processional, or MVMCP start until after Thanksgiving.

Week 45! We go every other year and I've never been dissapointed. :thumbsup2 We always schedule a Wet'n'Wild day and have never had to cancel because of bad weather. When we were there in 2004 there was only one misty cold-ish day, but we had a blast because we really just walked onto the rides. We schedule MGM for later in the week because the Osbourne Lights usually go up about then.

We get to go this year and I'm so excited! We have 5 kids and this will be the first time I won't have a child in a stroller or a new baby. They are all old enough to remember how much fun they'll have. Heeeeee! :woohoo:

Very smart of you! Great choice!

We took our first family trip Nov 11th -18th last year. The weather was perfect - in fact one day it was around 85! My kids love to swim and we did so every day - we even went to Typhoon Lagoon for a day!! There were no long lines anywhere either. I think the most we waited was 10 minutes. Hope you have fun!

I am hoping the pools are warm enough, we went two years ago in November but it was around mid Nov to week before thanksgiving but stayed off site and the pool was heated almost too warm. The crowds were minimal and it was neat to see the decorations going up. I can't wait for MVMCP this year last year's MNSSHP was AWESOME!!
