WDW in January???

How are the crowd levels in beginning January? Is there any chance of sunburn during this time of year? Are the water parks enjoyable during the winter season? Typically how long are the waits for any particular ride in Jan.?

I love to go on january, no crowds at all, the longest que its 10 min (and thats rare), but its really cold, i dont know about the water parks because i've never been there but ill try to go on my next trip!!!

I live in Panama (Central America), so we love the freezing weather because we live in a huge BBQ jajajajajajaja!!!

January is a wonderful time of year to go!!!!!! You may get lucky and catch a warm front!

We've been twice in January and love going at that time of year. Crowds are low and the weather is just right.

New Years day 2005 and the day after were at or near 80 degrees. There were people swimming and going to the water parks.

Some of the weather depends on what you are used to. We come from a cold dry winter climate and the mid 70's with humidity are down right tropical to us.

The first week still has carry over holiday crowd but I have heard that after that the place really empties out, the park hours are shorter but so are the lines.

The temperature is somewhat unpredictable but we have always been lucky enough to go when it's in the 70's during the day and in the 60's at night. IMO, the weather has been perfect for active touring. Crowds are marvelously low but as mentioned above, Jan 1st through the following weekend is likely to be very crowded. Also, MLK weekend may be a bit busy (but othing like summer time). We're going on the 7th-13th in an attempt to avoid the more "crowded" times.
