What is the weather like in WDw in febuary and aslo in the US? I am thinking of trying toget there for my birthday and that is mid febuary....is travel etc cheaper then? Do you really have to rug up? Does it snow?

Any help about orlando, LA etc in thattime would be great!

We have gone in the middle of February and the weather can be quite nice in Orlando or it can be a little chilly too. Usually the mornings and evenings are a little chilly where you would need some long pants and a sweatshirt, but during the day we could where shorts and a T-shirt. We have a holiday in the middle of the month, on a Monday, that is called Presidents Day and the parks will be a little more crowded, but not as bad as spring break. I think Presidents Day is the third Monday of February, but not real sure on that. The end of Feb. or the beginning of March would be a better time to go. I have never heard of "rugging up" before? Does that mean you wear more clothes?:)

Having just returned on February 21st maybe I can help.

On February 13th WDW changes from value season to peak season. Which means the resort prices double. So it's important to check in by the 12th if you want to save money. Disney starts to get busy this time of year. Sometimes the attendence can double. The 3rd week of February is Presidents Week, in Mass this is winter school vacation week. A lot of the states on the east coast and some of the mid-west states have this week off. Lots of people are trying to escape winter, so with the kids on vacation from school this is a perfect time. The dates do vary from year to year, usually it the second week that the season rate changes.

With this being peak season, the airlines also up the rates. Flights can sometimes double in price.

As to the weather it can be iffy, usually weather is starting to improve by this time, but you never know. We hit perfect weather during our trip. Cool in the evenings 60's, warm during the days 70's and low 80's. My Grandchildren swam everyday. Pools are heated.

I was in WDW from 2/7-2/11/03. The first couple of days were quite cool(maybe 50?)and drizzly. Just wore jackets and ponchos, when wet enough. The crowds were basically non-existent, which is the way I like it. Just be sure to plan on more weather variation at that time of year-I'd bring a 3-season jacket, but pack the shorts and bathing suit, too. Even though the air temp was around 60-65, I manged to get into the pool a couple of times as the water temp is beautiful!
