Hi I was wondering if I could get some info on WDW in Feb. We are thinking of taking a trip starting 2-10 for 7 nights and I have never been in Feb. and was just wondering what to expect as far as crowd levels, ride closings, any special events, and also weather.
Thanks
Kim

Going at that time of the month, the crowds would be relatively low. It starts to get really crazy the weekend before Presidents Week. The first two years we went, the weather was incredible, 80s and sunny for the whole trip. The past couple years, it's been 60s-70s. Definitely better than what we're getting away from :cold:
The CoP usually isn't open at that time. The park hours are shorter, usually closing between 5 and 7. You can check all that out at allears.net. I know this year Buzz Lightyear is going to be down at that time. :sad2:

It's a great time to go...crowds low, weather pleasant, relaxing.

Buzz Lightyear, Oh no say it isn't so, my kids love that ride!!! When is Presidents week exactly?? I was hoping that someone would tell me the weather would be mild. Thanks
Kim

According to the website http://www.allearsnet.com/tp/themeparks.htm,
Buzzlight will reopen on Feb 6. We are going the first week of Feb. We were there last year and it was chilly in the mornings - shorts and sweatshirts but not many lines and it was great. I've heard it can get much busier mid Feb to the end of the month and then March and April are very busy because of spring breaks. Go for it!

:thewave: Epcot always closes at 9:00. The other parks will close early, but that's ok. If you are a lark, you will likely be ready for bed. If you are an owl, there is lots to do at nightime. Pleasure Island is wonderful. If you have kids you might want to go to the campfire sing a long with Chip and Dale at FW. Boardwalk is a must do. Don't forget Disney Quest. And of course there is always shopping and swimming. The shorter hours at the parks gives you more time for other things. With less crowds you will find you will probably be able to do and see more in the parks anyway. The weather is usually great too. You will need a jacket It cools down when the sun sets, so you might want to carry a pair of pants with you if you are wearing shorts. The rain is no problem at that time of year. We always go then. The crowds are no problem, and the rates are usually better in low season.

For the last few years we have been going the first part of Feb. Last year we were there 2/2 - 2/8 and it was busy due to Mardis Gras, SuperBowl, and the Datona 500. This year there is nothing at that time. but did you see the Touring plan website? They are saying it will be a #7-8 during 2/8 - 2/15, and then it is Presidents weekend (starting 2/17?). Don't forget your mittens for in the morning! By afternoon we were in shorts and tshirts. It may be chilly for you if it is 50 -60º but we think it is a heat wave and are in shorts and swimming in the pool! Just go and think it will be cold and if it is not it will be a bonus for you! Things are closed at that time of year, but maybe they will open 'seasonal' rides/shows if they have big attractions closed! We were pleasantly surprised to see COP last year! I think everyone should have to see that! At least once! Just go and enjoy!! You are at Disney, could it get any better?? :flower: :flower:

What a great time to go! Yes hours are short but with no lines...you finish all parks early! At night we would all have long dinners and super cocktails, then we hit the hot tub! What a blast, no one there! Good timing and have a geat time.
