I am considering taking my 4th grader out of school the first week of February (7-11). What is the weather like during this time and what are the crowds like? We went this year the last of May and the parks were starting to get busy. We also hit it when the temps were getting into the mid 90's. I vowed not to do that again.

You should be ok crowd wise the 1st week of Feb, but I wouldn't go much later than that. Many New England and Midwestern school districts have a vacation week that includes the presidents day long weekend, so this year it will probably be the week of Feb 21st, but you will want to double check.

We were there for Feb. vacation week this year and it was crowded. However, the weather was very nice. Shorts everyday and sweatshirt in the AM and evening. We took a swim but the walk back to the room was COLD!!

Happy Planning! :)

We are going to be in WDW from Feb 7 - 13th (WOOHOO) and from everything I have read the crowds should be low, as Pres. Weekend is the 21st - so we are a good 2 wks before it. As for the weather, the best I have gotten is "unpredictable" - and suggestions to layer it so you can take things off as the day (hopefully) warms up. I am so pysched just to be going (and the fact that I live in Canada and will be deathly sick of winter by then) that I couldn't care less about the weather as long as we're havin a blast in Mickey-land. And just in case the weather sucks, we are going for a 4 night DCL cruise to end our vacation - can you tell I am excited!! YEAH!!!!! :bounce: :bounce: :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

We were there the 1st week of Feb last year.. checked in on last day of Value season.

Our first morning was COLD! and we are from NC and had jus had snow.. SO... I'd guess low 40s. After that... we were in shorts and tshirts. 70 - 80s. In the evenings we'd wear jeans and tshirts and carry pull over fleeces.

GREAT weather! GREAT crowds.. just a good time to go.
