WDW in early June

The only bad thing really is the crowds. Many schools have just gotten out, and I think it's gay pride week there that week also which draws a lot of crowds (please don't start a fight about this peeps, I'm just pointing it out because it raises crowd levels even more).

Other than that, the weather and prices are about average. If you don't mind the crowds, go for it. :thumbsup2

We love the first week in June. In fact, we had a trip scheduled for mid-June, but just had it changed to the first week.

The first couple of days, the crowds are fairly low, and then every day that goes by you'll see more and more people. The weather can be hit or miss. Some years it's super hot, and then other years it's pretty moderate. One year we went, it was actually a bit chilly.

Where are you going to be staying? We're doing AKL again.

This year will be our first time to go the first week of June. I am expecting crowds, but then I am used to going off season. We'll still have a great time.

We are at the BW.

The crowds aren't as bad as the later part of June are they? I have also been in mid July and at the end of August. I assumed the first week in June would be less crowds.

I knew about Gay Pride days. It doesn't bother me, but I will find out when it's scheduled for the MK and avoid that day. I was in an amusement park in early June when they had their pride days, and I wasn't too happy with the blatant sayings on their clothing to make a statement. I wouldn't like this in any group and I don't want this forced down my kids' throats from anyone, heterosexual included.

We have been the first week in June several times. It is somewhat crowed but mid-end June and July are busier. We haven't had any problems getting done what we wanted to do. Be at the parks at opening and take advantage of the morning EMH. You can get in quite a few rides before the crowds show up and be sure to snag a fastpass when you can.

If you hit DHS on a Fri, Sat or Sunday they will probably have Star Wars Weekends going on. If you aren't into that go on a weekday. If you are into it get there before the park opens. There are usually Stormtroopers on the top where you into. It's pretty cool. Lots of SW characters and plenty of photo ops. Also my boys love the Jedi Training Academy.

we'll be there june 7-14. we had no other choice of dates, due to DD's dance schedule and DH's work. i guess we'll just have to deal with the crowds.

We usually go for my birthday (June 8th) a few days before to a few days after and the crowds are not bad at all. In fact I wouldn't say it was crowded at all last year or the year before. We get to the park just after opening and stay until noon, go back to the room until 4 and return to the park in the evening to avoid so much of the heat, which doesn't really bother me that much at WDW, since most of the que areas are shaded or AC'd. We use the quiet pools and eat on at off times. We always take advantage of EEMH as well since the parks can be open as late as 3am as MK ususally is on my birthday :yay:

We even hit DHS on SWW and rode all our favorites in no time at all and we didn't enter the park until late afternoon, then boated over to Epcot for the evening.

Beware of the afternoon shower usually about 3:30-4 but it will cool things off a bit.

This year we are taking advantage of the 4/3 deal and going form June 6 to 13th, including a possible visit to Seaworld and one of the Disney water parks.

It's great to visit then, but it's very crowded. With Gay Days and school just getting out that week, the crowds seem to flood in. It's pretty warm too. But other than that, if you don't mind crowds, I'd say go then.

Early June the locals are out of school. It's not as crowded as later in the summer when the whole rest of the country is out. And the weather is just a little bit better than July and August.

:)

We're going to just miss each other. We're scheduled from May 30-June 6. Unless I can talk my husband into 3 extra days. ;)
