We are completely spoiled -- our last four trips to WDW have been in early February, which is, in our opinion, the perfect time to go. No crowds, no lines, no heat . . .

We are going on a Disney cruise on August 4th, and we have several days in Florida before the cruise. We were just going to hang out at the beach/hotel pool and do a water park or two because of the heat, but the kids really want to do Disney again.

Is it crazy to do the parks in early August? Is it too hot and humid to enjoy it? Are any of the parks better than others in the heat? Are they crowded during that time? Any thoughts or advice will be appreciated. Thanks!

We'll be there around then, too -- not by choice but because DH has a conference in Orlando and there is NO way we were going to let him go alone! DD and I just got back, and it was hot even this early in the season. We survived thanks to our portable misting fan. We will be sure to bring it again in August.

I'm usually a commando-style park tourist, but this time we went to the hotel for afternoon naps. It really helped a lot.

Epcot was pretty enjoyable despite the heat. We spent as much time in each indoor pavillion in Future World as possible. Ice Station Cool was a great place to stop for a (free) drink as we crossed from one side of the park to the other.

We didn't go to Animal Kingdom this time, and probably won't go in August either. It always feels hotter there IMHO. We'll be sure to visit next time, though.
