Our family is planning a trip for December 2008. Just wondering if anyone can tell me how the crowds are the 1st week of December. DH & I went for our honeymood Oct 2006 & it was great.

It will mainly be adults on this trip & my FIL doesnt like crowds. Also, our travel agent cant access prices until 1 yr in advance but I can get on the disney website & quote it already... is that normal for travel agencies? We have 10 adults & 2-3 children going. The disney website wont let us price out for that many people. I am a planner & want the whole year to pay on our trip.

We've gone during that time period for the past 6 years or so - last week of November & 1st week of December ..... crowds were always VERY light. We LOVE that time of year. FL weather is nice and the Christmas decorations are beautiful! You'll have a great time!:cool1:

Sometimes the Pop Warner event happens the first week in Dec. It's a young
persons Football/Cheerleader event. Some say it doesn't affect crowds or their
sanity. Others say it does. It will affect the Value resorts since that's where
the majority of the kids stay. Keep it in mind and have a blast. :thumbsup2

Just make sure that the first week of December does not share a weekend with Thanksgiving. If it does, try to arrive toward the middle of the week instead of the beginning. We have been twice during the first week and we had a problem the first year because we arrived the Monday after Thanksgiving. MK was packed. It got better on Tuesday but still crowded. Empty by Wednesday. We had a wonderful experience the second time we went because it was the whole week after Thanksgiving. The weather is beautiful (60-80 degrees) and hardly any rain. And as pp mentioned the decorations are sooooo wonderful to see. In my opinion it is the BEST TIME to visit WDW. Great weather, beautiful decorations and the Christmas party. We love it!

We went the first 2 weeks of Dec. in 2003. It was great...no crowds at all.:cool1: Even stayed at ASMusic with no problems. The only downside was that it was too cold to enjoy getting wet so we avoided the raft rides and water parks.:sad1:

Going this year on the 2nd hope crowds are low.
