Check out the latest version of Google Earth - you can see really good 3D of WDW and other places round the world :)

Cool, we aren't allowed it at work and PC at home is too slow, but next time I'm at my Mums I will have a look as she has downloaded it.

off to have a look:thumbsup2

just for anyone that is meant to be working and can't get to see
Google Earth has finally got 3D buildings of WDW on there. It is rather fun to zoom around the parks and see it from different angles like from the sky. The bad news being after about 5-10 mins, it slows down alot and you have to end up close it before the compuer crashes. It's even worse when you have other things up. For more information, visit:

www.disneyworld.com/3dparks

Here's also some screencaps I got from it.

Mexico Pavillion at night.

DHS (I didn't let it load long enough, so that weird looking blur is the water tower)

Expederest (plus DHS, Epcot, some hotels and possibly MK)

Main Street from the train station

Lots of fun :)

Very nice, Tim. Thanks. This adds a whole new dimension (no pun intended) to arm chair traveling.

Ive tried this on my laptop and now on my desktop (which is a powerful pc), and I cannot get it working. I get as far as searching for "disney world", and it takes me to that island which is supposed to have the mouse ears on it to click on, but they arent there......anyone know whats wrong ?

I didn't find the ears either. Just zoom in as close as you can to WDW and it will still work without the ears.

and zoom in as far as it will let you

Taken from google earth
View hundreds of photo-realistic buildings in many of the world's cities. Click certain landmark buildings to learn more. Tilt or zoom in to get a better view. To view buildings, in the Layers panel, check 3D Buildings

I have the most up to date version, zoomed right in, NO yellow mouse ears to click on.

Go to the layers toolbar and tick "3D Buildings" :)

For those in the UK, I found out that to get the mickey ears to show, you have to go to tools, then options. Click the general tab and change the language settings to English (US) then restart Google Earth and it should work.

It doesn't really make a difference if you have it up or not. It just makes it a bit easier to get to every park and resort without having to guess where they are.

I just wanted to say that I love your signature picture of Disney Place. I grew up just around the corner from there but had totally forgotten about the name but now I know where my Disney addiction must have come from. I was brain washed from an early age seeing that street every day :goodvibes
