I want to make reservations for our daughter's honeymoon next summer at WDW and was trying to figure out which would be the best resort for them to stay at. She has been multiple times, but not her fiance as this will be his first visit.

We own at BWV and OKW, so will make a reservation at the 11 month mark at BWV, but thought maybe it would be nice to get them a studio at Grand Floridian or Polynesian.

Any thoughts - we haven't stayed at either of the new resorts. We also love Beach Club so that could be an option also. They won't have a car so will be relying on disney transportation.

Thanks all,

My recommendation is BWV. Ideal for honeymooners because you have the boardwalk with night life including a night club and a dance hall, you can walk to two parks, and you can walk to over two dozen restaurants (Epcot resorts and the two parks). And if you have boardwalk view, you have one of if not the best views on site.

The Grand Floridian is a great idea. It is elegant but casual. Has great restaurants and great pools. And a short ride to the Magic Kingdom and the TTC. Disney has their wedding pavilion there, and a Cinderella type carriage for the weddings.

I'm partial to BCV, especially if they like to swim. They can always walk 5 minutes to the BWV nightlife. VGF would be kinda cool too for a more romantic getaway, although VGF is tough to get a studio, especially if you don't own there. I don't agree it has "great pools", but then again, once you've been to BCV, nothing else even comes close on property in that regard.

I gave my granddaughter and her new husband a Sunday to Friday stay at Disney's Beach Club Villas Resort. They loved it. By cutting out the weekend nights I was able to put them into a much more comfortable size villa

Since your daughter has been there many times, she probably has some great ideas of what they will enjoy the most.

I think BWV would be very nice. If you have the points for a VGF 1BR, they tend to be more available at 7 months. I, personally, wouldn't be keen on a split-stay for a honeymoon, although I don't know your daughter and her intended well enough to speak on their behalf, of course.

I agree with dizfan, would be nice to ask them. We are a family of 5 with 3 adults in their twenties, I know one dd would pick GFV (followed by BWV and BLT), but dh and ds would not want to stay there (dh has been, ds has no interest). The rest of our group would likely pick 1. poly lake view for ambience and fireworks from balcony 2. blt theme park view for fireworks from big "private" balcony and 3. bwv boardwalk view for the view.
