WDW Homeschool Days

I just saw that WDW has homeschool days!!! There is one coming up on September 21 and 22. The tickets are much cheaper (about $100 cheaper per ticket for a 5 day park hopper - so we'd save $600)! Has anyone ever been to the homeschool days at WDW? I mentioned it to my husband, and he said let's go! Just looking for any info.

It sounds awesome. I'd bet those would be the most fun days of the entire year!

We've never been, but my understanding is that they offer this in September and January. We're waiting to see what days it will be in January, hopefully during the time we are planning to go

I found the website, but I was hoping for a little more information.
Does anyone know:
Are the tickets ony good for the dates of the homeschool activities?
Are there certain homeschool activities that you have to attend?
Does your whole party have to attend the activities together?
Are the activities geared toward specific ages or any age?
Are there room discounts as well?

We went with a family that homeschools this past January. We stayed off-site so I don't have any info on discounts at the resorts.Are the tickets ony good for the dates of the homeschool activities? No, you could use the tickets for 1 week before the weekend and 1 week after the weekend.
Are there certain homeschool activities that you have to attend? You don't HAVE to, but the programs they put on are very good according to the 13yo that was with us.
Does your whole party have to attend the activities together? No, only the 13yo and her dad went.
Are the activities geared toward specific ages or any age? They had special events that were at a seperate cost that were broken down into 2 age groups.
Are there room discounts as well? Not sure, stayed off property.

...The last two years in January. So far it has been Monday & Tuesday after the 2nd weekend.
Room discounts were not directly available through the disney youth website, but last year they were $50/night for budget rooms.

Omg I think I need to start homeschooling. I don't trust myself to homeschool my own kids...can I school myself and does that count? Maybe the bird?

Can someone answer this question?

I know they can only be used 1 week before and after, BUT, if you START using them before the last week, can you continue to use them until they are gone or do they just stop working exactly 1 week from the hs days???
