I like to think of myself as a pretty rational and understanding person. I am fully aware that some things just will not work at Disney during this pandemic. I understand having no fireworks, no shows, resort closures, no special events. I get it. They will all come back (hopefully) like before this weird time. I am starting to wonder what this company is thinking though. Do you want guest? Do you want to make money?
My family will unfortunately not go on our holiday 2020 trip. We planned on it. We have a trip in October. We can deal with these rules and restrictions. Do we love it? No. Mostly annoyed of the lack of restaurants and limited menus as our week long trip will be spent mostly at resorts.
For the holiday season I knew not to expect much but I definitely was not expecting this. No lights on the castle, no gingerbread displays, no candlelight procession. This is no longer about precautions or safety. This is greed. This is being cheap. This is bending over backwards to not bring more staff back to work. I fully understand and support not moving forward with things that attract large crowds. More people would come if they would stop scaling back more and more but continue with these ridiculous prices. I honestly think they don't want more people to come. They don't want crowds again like this past weekend because they do not want to bring the cast members back to work. Some of it just does not make sense to me. Throw us a friggin bone Disney!!!
