Ok the title kind of says it all. Looking to gather general tips and strategies for keeping cool but any specifically related to mask wearing and/or dealing with hot flashes get bonus points here.
My entire life I've been a chilly person. Always wanting the room warmer, summer or winter. But this will be my 2nd summer of the dreaded flashes and I'm ALWAYS HOT!!! I am concerned about masks in the mid-Sept FL heat. I've been experimenting with making various types of masks out of 100% cotton and a few out of 100% silk. I'm making them with pleats to provide a "billowy" effect (so not plastered right up to my face) while at the same time "snug to sides of face" as per Disney protocol. I've already decided: NOT wearing a conventional bra AND a mask! So I have enough cotton tops with built-in bras, ready for the trip. Plan on having a small container or powder in my parks bag and freshening up often in the ladies rooms. Also bought one of those "cool cloths". I got the Frog Toggs brand. Need to test it out here soon, on a super hot day. ETA: PLEASE most of us have had at least one or more trips to WDW during the hot months. We KNOW how awful the heat and humidity can be. No warnings or stories about guests dropping over. The intent of this post is to find as many means as possible to prevent exactly that.
