WDW gift cards at Walmart?????

Hi, I keep seeing about discounts for gift cards at Target. Are WDW gift cards available to purchase at Walmart? I am visiting from the UK and my DH works in Asda (Walmart) so gets 10% off purchases here in the UK. We used his discount previously in florida, so was wondering if they sell the gift cards? I am right in saying that you can use the gift cards for dining in the parks? TIA

I have only seen them at Target and I think I saw them at Kroger before. But I have never seen them at Walmart.

My local Walmarts, (New England) sell Disney GC.

I have seen some at mine (rural Texas) but that might only have been at Christmas. I don't really pay attention until I need them

I saw $50 Disney gifts card at my local Walmart Saturday (they were at the check-out line). I didn't pay attention to the price of it though.

Yes, Disney GCs can be used in the restaurants at Disney (as long as the restaurant is a Disney-owned restaurant - some Disney Springs restaurants may not accept them).

Chances are very good that the Orlando-area Walmarts carry Disney GCs. However, I would not be too confident that the employee discount can be used when purchasing them. I know that Target does not allow their employee discount to be applied to any GC purchase (even the ones that some consider to be "entertainment" cards).

I see them at my Walmart all the time, at the card kiosks kind of out in the middle of the walkway. However, I've never seen them discounted before.

I'm pretty sure that the employee discount does not apply to GC - IF you try it and it does - please let me know!!!

Our Walmart sells Disney giftcards, usually in the $25 denominations but sometimes the $50 ones too. My husband also works for Walmart and so we use his 10% discount on things often. A couple of years ago, I did buy a giftcard for Pizza Hut at Walmart and for whatever reason did get 10% off of it at the register. Not sure if the discount at that point worked on any other giftcards but last year, we tried buying a Disney giftcard in hopes that we would save the 10% off again. Nope, it didn't work. I wish it would though!!
