I would like to have a little welcoming gift for each of the kids when the arrive in the room. Nothing big. A plush, a light up toy, and a t shirt or something similar. Mind you, this is x5! I have used Memories By Betsy (before it was Betsy) in the past. The problem was that it wasn't in the room upon arrival. (or maybe they don't know what room we'll be in until arrival?) I was looking at the WDW florist site, but there doesn't seem to be anything that fits the bill. Most of the stuff seems geared toward some specific celebration (birthday etc) or it is a large and very expensive basket, which is not an option x5.

My questions are: Will they take custom orders or do they only do the things on the site? Do they deliver things like toys and t shirts or other Disney merchandise? Will the things be in the room upon arrival or will they be delivered to the room later or be handed to me at check in like my "Betsy" baskets?

They deliver to your room on a specified day but not necessarily at your arrival. I have ordered from them several times and have had things in the room on arrival and arrive as late at 8:30. I think it just depends on the volume. They don't promise a specific time.

Thank you. Along those lines, does anyone know if WDW Florist does "custom" baskets? Does anyone know of any other services that do resort delivery? Services similar to www.memoriesbybetsy.com? Where they make custom gift baskets?

yes, they do custom baskets and I have done them, they will also change an exisitng basket and the contents to your liking, check out their website and then call them, very nice staff. I have used them several times with great success!

My husband has ordered from Disney Florist twice. Both times the flowers/baskets were beautiful. However, they both came a lot later in the evening than he wanted. He had hoped they'd be in our room when we arrived, not delivered at 8:30 at night.

Thank you. I looked at their site. I wanted to know specifically if I could order things that weren't on their site, like stuffed animals that they didn't show and t-shirts and light up toys. My kids wouldn't want flowers, and since we are going to MNSSHP there will be enough candy.

They do keep other 'stuff' in stock that isn't in the baskets or pictured on the web site, best bet is to call them. Other thought.... on your first day in the park, send one of your purchases back to your resort and create your own 'gift' for them. I will say that I find the Disney florist very expensive. Have fun!

I nipped back into our room and left a letter from chip and dale and then the kids a plush each. But my kids are young enough to think that they were actually from Chip and Dale.

Could you make something yourself and get them delivered to the resort. I thought I had read somewhere they will hold things for you, if you could arrange it to arrive the same day as you do you may be lucky enough to have been asigned a room and they may put it in the room, before you get into it.

Have you considered bringing something with you? If you are traveling with another adult, the other adult could take the kids to look at something (pool, scenery, game room, etc) and you could slip over to the room with the gifts before you all "arrive" at your room. Just a thought. We did this when 3 families went as a group. We had 6 kids between us and it was too expensive to have something delivered by others. Just a thought!
