WDW Event Swap: Due 11/7 - Update pg 29 post 429

Someone mentioned that the parade had changed? If you went in years past, you would need the Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Parade title and this year you would need the MOUCP title. Is that OK?

The parade has changed, but it changed for both the day parade and MVMCP. For years, the parade that ran for the party and the day parade during Christmas week(s) was Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Parade. Now, it's MOUCP.

Oh, wait...now I get it...I was thinking P stood for "Party" and not "Parade." So the group was for the parade during the party, and then the parade during the day. I guess I have been channeling the blond girls AWM and PN96.

I can use everything though. I have pictures to be scrapped of both versions of the parade.

Shauna - just to help your updating - Mischief Managed did post requesting the FnWF even before I did (post 42), so she should be able to get into group 1.

Great! I figured something out for the last group (then I will be in EVERY group ) -

5. Mischief_Managed - "Eat to the Beat" Concert Series - title

Is that okay? It's a part of the FnWF.

Thanks for looking out for me NEE! And thanks for adding me Shauna. I would prefer to do the title for the Eat to the Beat concert (because I have the FnWF title already), but if the group wants/needs the Food and Wine Festival title than I will do that. So for element choice, title is fine - I just need to hear back from the remaining 3 members in the group.

During the Food & Wine Festival, they have the free concerts over at the American Pavillion - the concert series is called Eat to the Beat. This year I plan on getting a bunch of pictures from the concert because one of my favorite groups is performing (Big Bad Voodoo Daddy).

I seriously BBVD!! Excellent choice! I don't have any problem at all with the name as long as everyone in your group is good with it. It sounds like everyone is so you should be fine. I think it's cute!

Mawnna - I did some checking and can't find anything definitive. Since you are in group B1, your kits will cover all of the different things at the party. MOUCP is the name of the parade AT THE PARTY so you will be covered. I think MVMCP is still the day parade running the week before Christmas, but don't hold me to that.

I'm having trouble staying away from this one. I'm going to WDW, tentatively. in December, so I need more holiday stuff.

Shauna, could you sign me up for th Resorts kit: Grand Floridian, please, and I'll try to ge it out to you in the next month since I'm really busy with my Hawaii rehearsing, etc. I've never stayed at GF but I love spending time in the lobby, especially during the holidays.

MOUCP is the name of the parade AT THE PARTY so you will be covered. I think MVMCP is still the day parade running the week before Christmas, but don't hold me to that.

This is what I've been trying to communicate. There is one set of Christmas floats. It runs at night during the Christmas Parties, and then they run it during the daytime during Christmas week. Starting in 2007, it became Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade (and they ditched my favorite snowmen). 2006 and prior years it was Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Parade.

Totally OT but a funny puppy story. We took Gracie to the vet on Saturday for her latest vacs. Our vet is in Petsmart so we were walking around picking up a few thing. Miss Priss was actually BARKING at people who didn't pet her. Does Disney do silly things like that?

Hope - Thanks for clarifying. We left MVMCP in the Parade group because some of them needed stuff for past years. You were right when you posted the clarification that the MVMCP Parade is MOUCP. I was just too lazy to change the name. I'll do that now.

Disney does the very same thing and Yoda did, too, when he was alive. They get so much attention at home, they just don't seem to understand why anyone wouldn't stop to adore them anywhere else. They do and did the same thing when someone comes to my house and doesn't say "hi" to them. Once people acknowedge them, they are calm, etc.

My poor 13 1/2 year old Gracie, though, just looks at people and hopes they notice her. She doesn't do the attention seeking thing.
