WDW DVC Resort Cleanliness

So, I often see posts about cleanliness issues at various DVC resorts. I am an owner at BWV, OKW and VB. I am wondering, is there an opinion of which WDW DVC resorts are the most clean from your stays? Pick your top 3.

I'll stay out of this one since I have stayed at only three.

Having watched this for a while, I think they all have had their issues. Keep in mind as you look at the results - not everyone will have stayed in all the resorts in a limited time period - so you won't have individuals comparing apples to apples. And from individual to individual there is a lot of variation in what is clean and what isn't - i.e. we've never had not clean, but we have had broken drawers, broken towel bars, etc. Also, the bad experiences tend to stick out - our two worst rooms were ten years ago or more - but if I'm not stopping to criticize myself, I'll tell you those rooms were acceptable, but worn - but we haven't had a room as bad as those two in a decade.

All resorts can have room issues. The turn time for DVC rooms is too short and the occupancy too high. You might find that some resorts were built with less durable hard goods or that they were refurbished with less durable hard goods. During their cleaning areas were skipped or that they could do a better job cleaning.

We have come to realize that this unfortunately is the norm. We have been trained that Disney is better than other companies and we expect that their resorts to be 5 star, they aren't.

We stay at VGF....and always find the floors disgusting....sticky and dirty. Since we like to walk without shoes we always clean for our comfort. Lysol wipes are packed for every trip. If the floors are that dirty...a few other things need a "touch up".

We have been DVC members since 2001 and have found a steady decline in housekeeping services over the years. Our first few years the rooms were spotless, but, we have been less than pleased the past several years.

We have stayed at SSr, SSr Treehouses, OKW, AKV, BLT, GFV.

We have never really had an issues with room cleanliness. The only thing I didn't really like was OKW grout between the bathrooms tiles was badly mouldy.

We did however find this past trip cutbacks were an issue. Not with cleanliness but with supply. On trash and towel nothing was replenished, no soap, no shampoo, I even had to call for toilet roll. Not at 1 resort but 3. SSR, AKV and GVF so it must be a management directive. We have never not had spare toilet roll left before but this time 3 checkins and 3 trash and towel and never a sore toilet roll left in the room only what was already started on the holder.
