You might get better responses if you have one of the mods shoot this one over to the WDW resorts board. :)

ETA: Wecome to the boards.

I'm moving this from the Universal Studios forum to the Disney resort forum so you can get more help.

Monorail access will include either the GF, Poly or the CR as those are the only monorail resorts. WL is close to the CR so monorial access is possible but just not as easy.

Any of the above three have great views of the fireworks at MK each night, while BC/YC or BI would have good views of the Epcot fireworks.

The Dolphin/Swan are nice resorts but do not have the themeing of the other resorts and tend to cater to conventions and they do not have access to Magical Express because they are technically not Disney resorts.

Not sure on the king beds but I know WL had two doubles in most studio rooms and the same for the Dolphin.

Kid themeing is prevalent at all deluxe resorts but the storm along bay pool complex at BC/YC cannot be beat.

Good luck

For the King Beds, you can book that as a category at the Swan and Dolphin. Also, the pool at S/D is very nice...not as nice as Stormalong Bay, but it is still a great pool. You can also request a resort view room that could have excellent views of Epcot or MGM...er, DHS there also...although last time I had a resort view room it wasn't really a great view of either.

Personally, although the S/D are very nice hotels...they just aren't Disney. We still stay there sometimes though. You will probably get the best fireworks view from a tower magic kingdom view at the contemporary...but the pool at the Poly is probably the best of the 3 monorail resorts.

Animal Kingdom Lodge...well, you don't get a view of any fireworks here, but the Savannah view rooms are excellent, and at the AKL and Wilderness Lodge you can get bunk beds which is fun for kids (although not so much for adults. trust me!!)

For monorail access, the only three with that are Grand Floridian, Poly, and Contemporary. But if you stay at Boardwalk, S/D, or Yacht & Beach, it is a very quick walk to Epcot.

Any of these hotels are very nice, and you will be happy with any of them. I am looking forward to my Contemporary MK View Tower room in September!! :goodvibes

The monorail restorts are CR, GF, & Poly. You can get on the monorail from WL by taking a short boat to CR or just take a nice short boat ride from WL to the MK. WL also has very easy access, by boat or path, to FWC to enjoy many things that kids love. We visited my ILS at FWC when we stayed at WL and the boys (ages 6 & 2) loved doing a pony ride. We also took the Mouseboats out which they loved. We had a room at WL once that overlooked the service entrance but we were able to watch Wishes from our balcony each night. I believe WL has queen beds in their standard rooms but believe they have king beds that you can request. All of the resorts are themed so it just depends on what you think your family will like.

Welcome and picking a resort is part of the fun!

With a daughter that age, and all you are asking for, Its gotta be the GF. No question.
