Hi,
First ever use of a discussion board so please bear with me if i don't get this right!!
I am visiting WDW first week of October and don't have any intention of attending the MNSSHP. However, as there will be a few members in my familly who have never visited WDW before, including my 2 year old son, I am really hoping WDW will look as "normal" as possible during our time there, without all the decorations etc. Can anyone tell me how much of the haloween festivities (decorations etc) will we experience during the day?
Also I have read that start of October can be a good time to visit due to low crowds but does the MNSSHP's mean the crowds are up? We wont be visiting magic kingdom on the actual party day, it makes sense that that particuar day at that park would be busy. Does anyone know if WDW as a whole over that period has higher crowds due to MNSSHP?
Thanks for your time

MNSSHP decorations are not up during regular hours. The park gets 'transformed' (it's amazing!) each night they have MNSSHP.

We were there for Halloween one year - not very crowded at all, except for that night at MNSSHP.

Welcome to Dis. :wave2: :wave2: Other than some fall items like pumpkins and hay stacks every thing looks pretty normal unless you attened the MNSSHP. October is one of my favorite times to visit for good weather and lower crowds.

The MNSSHP is at night when they close the park to everyone else. You have to purchase a seperate ticket for the event. So I doubt the park would be busier during the day because of the MNSSHP.

Too bad you dont plan on the party. My DD was 2 and a half when she went and she loved it.

Same with us, this is the one reason we are going in october. Plus the crowds are lower at the parks..

Thankyou everyone for your replies - you have all put my mind at rest! Apart from the shops and the odd kid asking for a few sweets, haloween is not as big here in the U.K. as it is in the U.S., plus I've never been sure about celebrating witchcraft etc, however I might consider it if it is not that scary (suppose it is Disney).
