Good Evening! I am curious to know what everyone here within the DisBoards have experienced for Weather in Late October and Early November? :sunny: Be it at WDW ::MickeyMo or the 4day Bahama Cruise pirate: ?? We are looking into a Cruise anywhere from Oct 20 thru Nov 12 of 2005. The Unnofficial Guide to WDW states that the average Oct temp is 85 as a hi and 68 as a Low with 2.5" of rain fall. Is that still True? Being from New Hampshire I am well aware of fickle weather patters. As we say here in New England, :cold: "If you don't like the weather - Just wait a minute!". Thanks so much! :teeth:

We have gone to WDW and cruised on the 4 night in late October for the past 5 years and it has always been very pleasant. The weather has been high 70's/ low 80's at WDW. The Bahamas have always been nice and warm as well as CC! We love going in October!! Can't wait for our Oct 23rd cruise! :Pinkbounc

We made our first trip to WDW this past November (2004) - we flew in Nov 20th and every day was awesome - hi 70's - low 80's. Rained one evening while we were at MK about 9pm; was still raining the next morning - but ended by 8 am and was just beautiful the rest of day! Couldn't have asked for better weather!!! ENJOY!

Thanks for all of the great input!! As I said - DH and I are considering to plan our first family Land and Sea cruise for this October. We also were curious to know what veteran cruisers have experienced in the past with little ones, late dinner, possible hurricane weather and child care for those under 3 years....

All we are able to get for a seating time with this short notice is an 8:30 dinner. Will we be shooting oursleves in the foot with that late of a time?

With the current weather system in Florida and last years Hurrican season, DH is terrified we will also get that kind of weather! We are no strangers to Walt Disney World, but neither of us have ever been on a cruise - be it Disney or otherwise!

Anything anyone can tell us about traveling on our first cruise with a2y8m son and a very independant and easily adjustable 6+year old. And hopefully we will bering home a "liitle Souviner" if we dont start one before the trip!! :rolleyes1 LOL

I look forward to the replies and Thanks in advance!

Can I hijack this thread just to ask another question about weather at this time of year?

We typically go to WDW last week in October / first week in November and love the weather (not too hot, not too cold), but the trip after next are looking at adding a cruise for the first time - probably a 4 day.

I've looked at the temperature for Nassau on the Weather Channel website and their averages say it's only about a degree or two warmer than Orlando so that's okay, but what's it like when you're out at sea? Warmer, colder or can't really notice any difference?

Hi we are going on the wonder Oct 23 -27 My husband and I are traveling with my 4 children ages 2, 4, 6, and 15 and my nephew 12 maybe we'll see you there. :wave2:

I am going on the Ocober 29-November 5, 2005.. wondering should we bring a sweater/slacks.. or can we get away with short?

We normally go at the beginning of October. I love this time of year to cruise. We frist chose to cruise in October because of fall break. Now we just love this month, but our fall break is changing to November. So next year our annual cruise will be on November 5. Can anyone tell me about the weather and water temps for this time of year?

DS was 6 on our 1st DCL cruise, he handled 4 nights of late dining fine. Niece and Nephew were younger, nephew might have been three, he's a wildman 24/7, so no input here on 2 yr 8 month old.

--I just think you ought to keep your stateroom number a secret now that you have explained your non-Navigator based shipboard activity....

We have cruised the Eastern 11/15/03 and the Western 12/4/04. On both cruises we wore shorts and were out in the pools or at least in swim suits watching the kids every day. It got HOT in the ports...had to have been high 80s or low 90s. Be sure to stock up on the 50 SPF sunblock for yourself & the kids because you WILL need it. We enjoy that time of year so much that we have our next two cruises booked for December.

As far as the kids, your 6 yo will probably enjoy the clubs so that will be easy for you. Our DD was 3 y 2 mo when we first cruised & we had a fantastic time. She didn't want to go in the club so we spent alot of time with her in the pool, at the movies in the afternoon when she wouldn't fall asleep, and enjoying the shows.
