DW is looking for some WDW counted cross stitch patterns, particularly something large and lovely depicting the castle (although other patterns may interest her). I tried a search over on the Creative Community forum and had no luck. Can any one here point us in the right direction? TIA:goodvibes

the only place you can get them is in the parks, unless you want to do ebay. THey usually got for $50-$60, if I remember right. You can call WDW and buy them over the phone, they'll ship them to you. To see the patterns on-line google Stoney Creek, they have them on their website.

Thanks all. DW had googled and came up with a few -didn't seem to be exactly what she was looking for.
Does anyone have experience with the software that creates a cross stitch pattern from a photo? Not sure what it's called

Have you asked about these on the Creative Community? I know I have read over there that there are people that do them and remember the Castle on mentioned. You might try talking to the Arts and Crafts forum people. I bet they can tell you much more about these kits. They will also know about the programs you are talking about. And they are very helpful!:)

i have the one with mickey and walt in front of the castle. i think it cost me $55 from wdw. i called and told them the name of it and they shipped it to me. it's huge. i had to order a special frame to attach it to so i could work on it. i've had it two years and it's still not finished. a lot of blending threads in it.

I love these! With all the craziness of adopting babies the past two years, I'm hoping to get back into cross stitching soon.

Ahhh, I just love blending threads. And partial stitches. And beading. My favorite pieces I have done are by Mirabella and Marilyn Leavitt-Imblum's Lavendar and Lace series.

I soooo miss the feel of the thread coming through the fabric. :sad1:

or the whole kit?..I believe that I have a pattern of the castle one..if you pm me after Xmas I will look and see..would be glad to make a copy of it and send it to her

Thanks for the link. That Stoney Creek site is the one she found recently. The one with Mickey and Walt in front of the castle is the one she has an eye on.
