Wdw Confessionals!!

OH! I thought of another one.

I was staying on property over 4th of July weekend - and wanted to see the fireworks from the Poly Beach.

Originally we planned on going to OHanas for dinner - so I made an ADR.... but then we changed our mind. And I didnt cancel the ADR - I used it to get through the Poly "Gate Keeper", so I could park at the Poly and watch beach fireworks.

Oh.... one more. Ill order a large soda, no ice, in the parks, and 4 cups of ice, and wouldnt you know, that large soda will fill all 4 cups up, more than once.

ok, I will bite. Now this was back in 1998/1999 or 2000 I cannot remember exactly when it was, but there was a book that had dinner coupons $50 coupons. I think it was in Rita Aeros book?

so basically you could eat $50 worth of food for free. So I worked in a book store and managed to get enough coupons to eat at the swan & dolphin, everyday for a whole 10 days. It was only 2 of us.

We ate FREE!

as for shampoos & soaps- I have 2 30 gallon garage bags full! not counting the swan

I've never purchased a refillable mug but I think that now I have to just to see if I can get away with using it on other trips. Y'all are inspiring! :goodvibes :woohoo: pirate:

We've used the Resort Monorail upon exiting MK, when we weren't actually staying on-site that trip.
I didn't know this one was a sin. We've even used the resort monorail to get to the parks when staying off site, because that one was empty at the TTC and the other one was standing room only
I steal the hotel pens too. I have quite the collection actually, from hotels all over, thanks to all the college searching we did a couple years ago

Oooh this makes me nervous, but here I go.

I used my sister's annual pass once to park free

And this one was at a cast member's encouragement, but it looked really bad to everyone around us: We used a wheelchair to wheel very tired DS out of Epcot late one night. Left wheelchair at bus stop and DS walked on to bus. Again, this was at a CM's specific encouragement ("here, use this - really it's okay, that's what they're for. Just leave it at the bus. Go ahead...), but the dirty looks we got....OMG. I would have rather carried DS with my pinky than live through that again.

We have walked over to MK after dining at Chef Mickey's AND left our car in the Contemporary's lot.

We swam in the Poly pool when extended family was staying there and we stayed at a moderate.

We let my brother swim with us at Beach Club. We were registered guests. He was, dare I type it, off-site. It was January.

Missed PS because we were somewhere else - like a totally different park.

Celebrated birthdays at restaurants if it was within a month of the actual date - every night for a week.

We are evil. We may be banned for life.

I used an expired DDE card during our last trip. It expired 2 days before our departure date. They accepted it at Jiko on our last night. In a fit of honesty, I told the server that it was expired. They gave me the discount anyway.

I have used a fast pass 11 months after it's intended use. As a matter of fact, I've done this on 3 different trips.

And, I have conspired to do this again... at the end of our last trip I got fast passes for use on our next trip.

Another crime I think DW committed was by booking us for lunch at the castle for 3 people when at the time there was only 2 of us. I think she told me that they wouldn't take reservations for 2, so she hung up and called back and made reservations for 3.

It seems to be a debatable sin but.... I've used my fastpass after the return time printed on it.
phhhhhht! who hasn't?

I haven't. :snooty:

But only because I didn't know until after my last trip that I could have. ;) :lmao: :lmao:

Here's what I have done:

I stopped and sat down only slightly past the center of the theater in Mickey's Philharmagic. (But no one had to climb over us, as it was nearly empty.)

I shared my refillable mug with my dd when she was 4.

I used dd8's dining credit for dd2's meal (since she wanted the more expensive menu item), and paid OOP for dd8.

I took dd2 out of the Dumbo line to go potty, then re-joined dh and dd8 near the front of the line.

While staying at the Yacht Club, I've parked at the TTC and walked over to the Polynesian to get on the monorail because the lines at the TTC were too insane.

I've also taken the Resort Monorail back to the Poly instead of waiting for the TTC Monorail - again because of the line. Then, I just walked back to the TTC, got in my car, and headed on back to the YC.

Do you think that your mom's behavior contributed to you being goofy for life?!!

Ummmm.... not really

My DM and i have this different set of morality....

She uses a friend's address to claim she's a FL resident and actually has a non-driving ID card for Disney discounts. (i for one would be mortified)
She somehow got Delaware Plates for all her cars because DL residents pay no tax and have 7 yr registration.
She's been off of work on disability (now is on SSI) for work injury (her back) because she claims she can't work but somehow manages to travel around the country half of the year going to these rondevous black powder camping events and has never seriously tried to rehabilitate herself.
She is only 55 but because she has an AARP card, she asks for and expects senior citizens discounts. (Come on now...)

Once she was mad at us because I wouldn't claim home business and stuff on my taxes to lower what I owed.

and she claims it's cheaper for her to travel than it is to stay home......

and I wonder why I had to pay my own way through college....

Maybe i'm goofy because just thinking about all this stuff drives my nuts.

Ok but I do have a couple Dis sins that I will own up to.....

* We have all shared one mug during a stay at POFQ.
* We have "borrowed" pool towels to use in our studio at SSR. (but I left them in the room when we left.)
* We used our DVC valet parking at WL to go get on the boat to the MK.
* We ate lunch at a Panera before going to the villas and we got condiment packets and butter from them for our fridge.
*I've ordered the extra bun...more than once...
*Have made a side salad from the toppings bar.
*Parked at the Poly and took Monorail to MK.
* I've packed the soap so that mousekeeping leaves more.
* When we purchased DVC we went back to ask more info and got more snacks and then asked if they could get us a ride to the BC because it had started pouring outside and we were going there for dinner.
*I might have forgotten to cancel a few PS's over the past 5 years.
* I exchanged a disney poncho after one seam ripped (the CM at the shop said we could do it after i asked if they had any duct tape to fix it.)
* One evening the regular line was long at the "Land" ride and the new CM at the line said here go throught the fast pass line. Up front they questioned us but when we told them that the other guy let us do it, she let us go on.
* We used our FP's 15 minutes late one night because dinner ran long.
* I booked mid-size suv and took a trailblazer (Alamo agent said we could though) and I plan to do it again next trip.
* We're buying DDP for my 2 yr old nephew and plan to use two of his credits for an adult signature meal. (the rest will be for him though at TS that are not buffet and for CS and snacks. He loves his mickey bars.)
* I've asked for cups of ice water in the parks.

(on DCL)
*We've brought our own drinks on board. (I like coolers and they just don't serve them)
*talked Maitre'D into getting us chocolate souffles from Palo in our regular dinner room.
*Have gone to Cable Beach as a "free" shore tour and used the pool at the Wyndham and took room service sandwiches and chips from the ship as our lunch. (we did buy drinks though.)
* Didn't realize that we were supposed to tip at Palo. (the first time we ever went there. A couple years before i found the DIS.)

Oooh i feel so much better now......

and one more
* I have taken my DD out of school for 7 days during 95-96 school yr for disney trips. 5 in dec, 2 this week. Next year it will be 6-7 for the DCL double Dip in Dec.

I don't have too many (mainly because I don't use the refillable mugs)

I take my pool bar drinks into the hot tub (pretty sure this is not allowed)

I used a fake ID at Pleasure Island in 1999, but I freaked out when the security guard looked at it twice and he took it away!

I use FPs HOURS after they expire.

I save beach chairs, tables in cs restaurants, and parade/fireworks viewing areas

Hmm, I think that's it. If I liked Nescafe I'd probably buy a mug. Heck, next time I might buy one for a souvenier, but I think they're so darned inconvenient. But if I did I'd share them and maybe bring them back! I would pool hop, but again it's just not very convenient. We were staying at WL and one day went to BB. On the bus ride back we stopped at CR so we got back and contemplated using their pool since we had our suits on. But we didn't want to bother.

Please I am not trying to flame (as this thread is flame free) but how do you all share refillable mugs? There isnt much room in them?

I used my mug for coffee in the morning (not often, since I hate Nescafe) or tea in the evening and my son used it for soda in the afternoon. The thing is--this is allowed, so not really much to confess. At least I've never seen a sign that says one mug per person.

My good friend from work let us borrow his two Beach Club mugs which we used last vacation.

I took and UNAUTHORIZED photo on the Behind the Magic tour! :scared1:

OMG, I thought I was a shampoo and soap horder!!!!! I am not worthy :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship:

I know that if I ever cruise DCL again, I will grab a handful of luggage tags before I disembark. A handful in each color, gotta have a complete set you know. People actually buy those on Ebay!!!!!! Maybe it could just keep funding my future DCL cruises!!!!!

Here goes ... bless me Minnie for I have sinned:

* I have reused a refillable mug and intend to do so again in August.
* I have used pool towels for showers when staying in a DVC studio.
* I have "dropped by" OKW with my laundry when staying at a non-DVC resort for a dip in the pool.
* I have valet parked at Boardwalk in order to vist Epcot and the Polynesian and the Grand Floridean in order to visit the MK.
* I have filled my mug with adult beverages for a dip in the pool.
* My FIL has smoked off an OKW balcony in a non-smoking room.
* I have used a Fast Pass after the expiration time.
* I have booked two resorts for the same dates when I could not choose between them at first.

I'm sure I'll find more after reading the first 10 pages!

OK, I've got a few:
1. I've also packed the soap so I can get more.
2. I shared my mug. But I have an excuse. My sister & her family were at WDW for 2 days (I was there for 5). So I shared my lemonade with her daughters, but only those 2 days.
3. and for those 2 days we had 5 in a room at All Stars, but my younger niece wasn't 2 yet, so she really didn't count.

This thread is so much fun!!! :thumbsup2

My confessions are the following:
* I reuse my Poly mug every year and share it w/ my DH
* My DH got a free beer out of concierge lounge, at the Poly, for a man that wasn't staying concierge. Our DD was playing with his DD on the beach while we were watching the evening water parade.
* I don't like using the WDW buses, so we drive from park to park
* I passed my oldest DD off as 2 and under while she was 3 years old
* I used some pool towels to wrap breakable souveneirs.

I can't think of anything else :confused3 But I feel like a much better person for admitting my terrible acts ;)
