New FP enforcement.....well I was one of the ones who would use a couple of my FPs past the window, but it really wasn't a big deal on this trip except that I had to do extra walking around the parks when the return window conflicted with when I was gonna be on the opposite side of a park. But it's not like I was gonna stand there and wait for people to get FPs to roll the return time to something later but I also wasn't gonna wait in a 40 min line either. At DHS, we got a FP for Star Tours and when we went back.....the FP line was out past the FP return entrance gate!! The CM said it was maybe a 20 minute wait so we went to get a snack and sat down while we waited til closer to the end time of our window and then it was only a 5 min wait. I guess it all depends on how you normally used FPs before. I wonder if it actually made the FP return lines longer and how that affected the stand by times. When we used our FPs on Soarin', the line got kind of long behind us so it seemed like they were having to let more FP riders through.

Based on your input, it is possible that they have fewer FP return windows, that would explain the difference in the line size closer to the end of your time window, IMO most would use the FP as soon as the window opens, so it makes sense to come later near the end of the window after the crowd

This new FP enforcement really impact my touring plans. My commando strategies have been to minimally wait and not re-walk the park. It is not just for fatigue, but it takes a lot of attraction time when one walks that much. There are some rides we will definitely wait for and others, not so much.

I have left our last days dinner open with no ressie, I hope I will hear Be Our Guest will be open by then, but if not my backup plan will be to go to the Art & Animation Resort and eat at whatever they have there (most likely a food court), but this will give me the pop to scout out the place, it will be 75% complete at this time, my wife wants to stay there on our 2013, this way we can get a 1st hand look at the place

We were lucky and were there on one of the first days when Duffy came out for meet n greets at Epcot. But, it was luck. I will try Be Our Guest one of the trips, but not a priority. We still haven't eaten at all the countries at Epcot, V&A, or any of the signatures at Swan and Dolphin.

My Disney adventure for today

Went to the mall and got on line at 9:40am to be one of the 1st 250 guests at the Disney Store to score a free Exclusive Edition 25th Anniversary Disney Store silver Mickey Ears, I was around 40th in line so I got one no problem Everything was 25% off today (except park tickets) so I picked up 2 Exclusive Limited Edition Disney Store 25th Anniversary Vinylmations & a jacket for my son, I was 3rd at the checkout line and was able to get out of the store before they were done handing out ears, I can't imagine what the place was like after they ran out of ears & vinylmations

I was at the Disney Store yesterday too, and got my Mickey ears. I dropped the kids off at school, then spent 30 mins battling rush hour to get to Metrotown, where the only Disney Store in BC is. I was there an hr early, and there was 6 people in the line already. Was planning on getting a coffee before getting in the line, but ended up foregoing it to get my ears. I don't go to the store very often, as the mall it's in is a downright nightmare to navigate when it comes to parking. If I don't park in a certain spot, you need GPS to find your way back to your vehicle. I got my ears, 2 of the LE Vinylmation, and got a pile of Vinylmation. My DS7 wants them for his birthday and Christmas, so did a stock up on them as they had some really good sales on them, and the 25% disc really helped out. So I've got enough to give him 3 each for birthday and Christmas, and got a few for myself. Where else do you think that he got the urge to collect them from. I've got way too many of them, but it's the only thing I really collect anymore, so my DH tolerates me when I go crazy on them when on vacation to the mouse. Have a great day!

We are looking forward to Sorcerers of the MK.
Agent P will be similar, although themed differently from KP.
Meridia is the main character from the new Pixar movie BRAVE (coming this June to a Theater near you)

When we meet a character in the park I like to try to spice it up instead of the run of the mill meet & greet, a lot of times it is pure accident, here are some things that have happened, maybe give you a idea, or if you had a interesting meet & greet lets hear it, maybe we can all have some extra great meet & greets:good vibes


- Princess Meet & Greet - they let a certain amount of guests in at a time and we were last, while waiting to meet Cinderella, I turn around and Belle and my son are playing with his Pokemon cards, my son now thinks Belle is really cool and wants to go back to see her

- When I ran into the Mayor, I said I voted for you! he responded Thank You! It was a easy win, who would run against me
- When I ran into Councilman Dewey Cheatin' I said the same thing his response was, It doesn't matter who you vote for it's how you count the vote

- I bought a shirt in the store next to the Dole Whip stand in MK, It says Duck, Duck, Goose World Champion. We meet Chip & Dale at Epcot, when it was are turn and we were walking up, they started pointing to my shirt waiving their arms, laughing and being snooty, turns out it was my shirt the CM said they were the Duck Duck Goose World Champions and they thought I was trying to steal their thunder

- Buzz & Woody at TSM, when we were at the meet & greet my son hands Woody his book to sign and he has a really neat Woody pen, Woody was checking it out then walked over to Buzz to show him, it was quite funny since he was really stressing the fact that it was a Woody & not Buzz pen

- When we meet Pluto I always tell my son to scratch behind his ear, he starts kicking his leg just like a dog

- I haven't tried it yet but I have noticed that Donald Duck makes a big deal of it if you are wearing a Donald Duck shirt

- Datrh Vader & Storm Trooper - When my son was getting his book signed, I said hey Vader my young Patawan will be fighting you in the Jedi training in 20min, The Storm Tropper lowered his gun and Vader put his hand on his lightsaber, pointed to the Jedi Training stage, pointed to my son and himself at then to his wrist, Vader lucked out that time since my son fought Darth Maul

- This is my favorite we were looking for the Character in China, the acrobat show was going on so everyone was watching the show, we walk in front of the meet & greet area and didn't see anyone, my wife and son are ahead of me, a girl dressed up comes out and says Hi to me and then asks if she could help me, I said we were looking for the character meet & greet , she then said I am Mulan, and I said I am RonMy wife turns around and we go inside the CM said we would be the last ones for the day, somewhere along the line I mentioned my son took Karate, she asked what color belt, at the time he was a blue belt, turns out she knew karate also and they did a few katas, my son got a 10min one on one meet & greet, I kinda made a fool of myself in the beginning with the I'm Ron comment, and my son got his karate practice in. who could ask of anything more


I got more but I will not bore you with them now but I would love to hear about your meet & greets, heck I might even try them out

When we met Mary Poppins and Burt, I asked her to say supercali.... backwards. Which of course she did wonderfully. Then Burt said "your turn!" and I did not have any response for that.

My dds told Donald Duck that I ate duck for dinner the night before. He made a gasping gesture.

My youngest dd wears a Minnie t-shirt and when we have dinner with Minnie, they "talk" about her shirt.

The fairies and dds have had quite a many conversation, although, I really couldn't keep up with it.

As I was updating photos this weekend, I remembered two others. Back when Park Fare had the mice, one of them tried to eat my oldest's m&m. Then, at Garden Grove, Goofy took a drink of youngest's Sprite. They still talk about it from time to time.

The ultimate commando day. Unfortunately, I couldn't get both in since DW wanted to do 2 MNSSHP this year. So, Wed in Epcot in October:

8:00 AM Akershus ADR
9:00 AM Park opens
1:00 Pm ESPN lunch
2:00 Pm WHW
6:30 Pm Chefs de France ADR
9:00 to 12:00 EMH at Epcot

Nothing like a 16 hour day.

Is it bad that I'm looking forward to a WDW trip without my kids so I can do a real commando touring plan without them sabotaging my plans??

Did any of you hear that Sorcerers of Magic Kingdom has been switched back to the "easy" mode because apparently it was taking too long and I guess it was causing delays or something? If that's true, I'm even more sad that I didn't do it in March!

Not at all This could be a life learning lesson for them, play by your rules or stay home

zianha, there's nothing wrong with going solo to WDW. I did a solo trip to DL for 9 blissful days in Oct/10 to DL, and had a blast. I could go Commando to my heart's content, without the family complaining about it. Go and have a blast, then go bug the kids when you get back about how much fun you had without them. Maybe it will give them the incentive to get with the Commando plan for the next trip.
