WDW Commando Club

Mmmmm! That candy sounds good! I've gotta figure out if they still have those giant gummi bears in Germany at WS and if so, if there happens to be a cinnamon one! I love cinnamon gummie bears but I didn't really look for any at WDW....

:thumbsup2 Any time waiting in a line always seems to go by a lot better with a bag of candy, keeps everyone happy:banana: I Always have a bag handy while touring

Sounds like a really good plan to me. Gotta find some good Sugar Free goodies for DS 8 and I while we are down there, as we are both off sugar due to going Paleo (no sugar, grains and legumes).

we get the big bag of mint lifesavers. lately , we also bring gum with us.
it was about 10 years ago, i didnt realize you cant buy a pack of gum on disney property. i asked a cm in a gift shop if they sold gum and she said you will not find gum for sale on disney property. she said people stick it all over and they figure if they didnt sell it, it would cut down on the scapping it off everything. check it out the next time you go down, see if you can find gum on property for sale. :lmao:

If you ask the right CM they will tell you something like "Oh no! We don't sell gum! Mickey doesn't like gum." One CM told a woman in front of us in line at a Main St shop that Donald got gum stuck in his feathers once when the woman asked why WDW doesn't sell gum.

Can you really blame them for not selling gum in the parks in general?? There's nothing worse than stepping in it, or sitting on a piece of gum. And unless you know how to remove it's sticky residue, it can be a royal pain in the you know what. If people were responsible with it, it would be a different matter, but many people feel that the best place for it after chewing it is dropping it onto various surfaces other than where it belongs, which it in the garbage can.

I wonder if they find a pack of gum in your bag if they confiscate it:confused3, I'm not big with gum so I've never had it on me at the parks

My wife gets the sugar free candy, best places to find them are in the stores in the park that sell candy loose. There is at least 1 store in every park:thumbsup2

I think I'll have to ask them in the stores, seeing what answer they will give seems kinda fun:lmao:

Nice:cool1: I wish I could do a solo trip to WDW (the ground I could cover), but the powers that be (wife & son) would never go for it:confused3

Hope you have a blast:worship:

What do you have planned

Rekenna, congrats on the solo trip. I love going solo to the mouse, without the family, and wouldn't hesitate to do it again. :woohoo:

Ron thanks for the tip on the SF goodies, I'm making notes as I go for the trip, and will add this info into my WDW file. :upsidedow DS9 is now Paleo until the test results come in next week. Has had ongoing stomach problems since Sept, and the Paleo is helping it to a certain degree. Told if results are negative to keep him Paleo, as long term it may resolve what's bothering him. :upsidedow

I'm not sure if it was No sugar added, or sugar free, but some of the carts offered a frozen strawberry fruit bar:confused3

It looks like the next Commandos that will be going to WDW is Shandale & Rekenna :cool1:

If they have any questions we should focus on them, and help them out any way we can:goodvibes

What would you do?

With the parking, would you park at the park you are going to 1st and backtrack to your car at night, OR would you park at the park you will be going last and then take transportation to the park you will be going to 1st:confused3

I only want to park once, I don't want to waste time moving the car, morning or evening would still be going out of the way a bit, but I do think I'll be saving some time, so what way sounds better:confused3

I know I would rather have my car at the park that I will be at last cuz by that time I am tired and would rather be able to go straight to the car after we're done for the night. Of course, I'll be staying on site in March and we prefer making rope drop, coming back to the room and then going back in the late afternoon so I still plan to use the buses for the most part. I might try driving to TTC one morning and plan on leaving my car there so we can drive back to Pop after we leave Epcot or MK on those nights.

Hey don't some of you have APs? I'm gonna have atleast 2 trips in 2012 so I'm 98.9% sure I'm gonna upgrade my tickets to APs during my March trip. But my question is if I add my paper tickets to my KTTW card (I booked room only with a PIN and got tickets from Undercover Tourist) will it make the process of upgrading to an AP more difficult or will it be fine either way??

I know Dave holds a AP, he is also a DVC member, so I don't know for sure he would know or not:confused3

I think the leave the car at the last park and bus to the morning park might be the better idea:thumbsup2 You're right my little guy will be tired (might even have to carry him to the car:eek:) I think I can make up all the time I would miss on a morning EMH, of course we will not be hitting the parks in the morning that have a A.M. EMH, but as far as Epcot & MK I think we will be there on the evening EMH's:confused3

Get in the longest line 5mins before EMH's start, shop a bit, get something to eat, take pics, might be able to hang at the park for most of the EMH's:confused3

I am planning my next trip. Being a Commando really helped out on our trip in November 2011. My DBF thought I was the best tour guide and that we saw sooooo much. We went by ourselves and now DD wants to go. Well......yippee.....gives me an excuse to start planning. I just need to focus on planning where the money is going to come from for our next trip. :rotfl: Thank you Commando padres!!!:goodvibes
