DD will be in WDW staying at AKL on my points and wants a simple civil ceremony at the AKL without any extras. This is her second marriage and wants a quiet simple ceremony. She will be there with friend's of hers.

Will Disney be able to due anything for her? Can she arrange for a JOP to come to the hotel and preform the service?

Does anyone know what county AKL is in so she can get her license?

Thanks any comments or suggestions will be welcomed.:confused3

Unfortunately, this will probably not be possible. The smallest civil ceremony that DFTW do is the 'Memories' collection which is a simple wedding which allows for up to 6 guests. AKL is not a location for the Memories collection, or indeed for any of the weddings done at WDW. As for the JP idea, I fear this will not be allowed in any of the public areas at WDW (including AKL). I guess in theory, she could sneak a JP up to her room to conduct the ceremony, but if discovered there could be serious consequences and I am sure your DD doesn't want all that cloak and dagger stuff on her wedding day!!!
Maybe she could look in to the Memories collection - sounds like it may be perfect for her!!
Good luck and let us know what you decide!!!

As a previous poster mentioned there is a Memories collection available for just under $2000, it includes a bouquet and the location and 1 hour of photography, limo service, 4 guests plus the bride and groom, and a violinist. She would have to hire an officiant that costs around $150-200. It's small and quick, kind of like a JP wedding but with a little Disney flair.

There isn't an AKL location but there are other equally beautiful locations at Conch Key Marina at the Grand Floridian, Narcoosee's Landing, and Luau Beach at the Polynesian Resort.

I could be very wrong here, but I seem to recall reading that for the Memories collection Disney were open to some location suggestions. Perhaps if you contact Disney they may be able to offer your daughter something, though I imagine it would be in a public area. Please don't get your hopes up though as I only seem to have a fuzzy memory of this but it can never hurt to ask anyway. I'm sure if Lurkyloo is around she'll know.

As for the wedding licence there are several court houses you can get the licence from incluing Orange County and Brevard County, the latter offer a mail order service too.

I hope your daughter managed to get what she is hoping for :)

If she was willing to use other locations there are other options, other than through Disney, but on Disney property. The main one, that seems to be done often on here, is the boardwalk/Epcot area hotel Swan&Dolphin, there are also a few locations in Downtown Disney that also do weddings, Fulton's Crab House, House of Blues, the Characters in Flight Balloon. I think some of the DTD hotels do ceremonies too. Most of these can be done for the price (if not less) of a memories ceremony but without the strict guest count restrictions.
