WDW called me back!!

My family and I just took our annual WDW vacation earlier this month (August), had a great time as always, stayed 6 days and 6 nights at PORS, really nice resort. Well, not long after we got home I received the typical email from WDW asking if we would like to take a survey about our trip, well, I took the time to complete it and I included the following suggestions:

- Please consider instituting buses that go from park-to-park. We always purchase the ‘Park Hopper’ option but it takes an hour or longer for us to ride a bus to a resort and then hop another bus to the next park, which makes using the ‘Park Hopper’ passes very difficult.

- It would be nice if each bus displayed all the stops that it will make during its route. It’s frustrating when you get on a bus expecting it to go to the park advertised at the bus stop only to unknowingly stop at 4 more places on the way. A simple sign or announcement by the driver or electronic message screen letting riders know there are “X” number of stops or list the stops in order will eliminate that frustration. (I know, I know, I’m impatient, DW reminds me of that often (LOL), but I like to know where all my bus is going during its route so I can mentally prepare to be on it for a long or short trip)

And just to confirm with WDW that they do not offer park-to-park buses I called and spoke with a Castmember and they confirmed it. They also gave me the following email address to forward my suggestions to; wdw.guest.communications@disneyworld.com; I sent the email not really sure what to expect, if anything. Well, about a week or so later someone from WDW actually called me about my suggestions. We discussed them for about 10-15 minutes and the Castmember said she thought the suggestions were good and she would forward them to their transportation division for consideration.

My reaction: WAHOOOOO!! Would love to be able to get ffrom park-to-park quicker, make it easier to enjoy AK and then hop over to MK for the fireworks, or HS for Fantasmic, and get to ADR's easier. Also, I really appreciated WDW taking the time to read what their customers think and to call, that spoke volumes to me about the kind of company WDW is.

So if you have suggestions use the above email, if you don’t just email them showing support for the park-to-park bus idea.

Love WDW!! Peace.

Hmmm. I thought there already were park to park buses/monorail for everything except MK where you have to go to the TTC first and then you can get your bus/monorail to the other parks or the other way around.

I have been taking park-to-park buses for years. You do NOT have to hope through a resort!!!!! Perhaps the fact that the OP didn't know about/ couldn't find them is worthy of a note to Disney so they can do a better job of helping people find them.

You CAN'T get a bus from a park to DTD, except for a new trial running at AK in the afternoon.

You can go to the TTC but still have take one thing to get to the other, so not much different than hopping a bus to a resort and then another to a park.

We've been to WDW that last four years, if they have park-to-park buses they don't advertise them well, or my family needs to work on their observation skills.

As a PP poster stated I believe they do have park to park buses. I guess the signage just isn't very good.

There are Park to Park buses with MK being the exception where you either have to go the TTC or a resort. But Animal Kingdom, Studios and EPCOT all have park to park. I think they just added the bus between Studios and EPCOT the last few years as before it was boat or walk. Animal Kingdom has a ST, EP and TTC stop & has for as far as I can remember.

Signage is pretty easy to find and read in my opinion.

The cast member was wrong you talked to.

As for what stops, most signs say where it's going like, Animal Kingdom says Blizzard Beach too. Typhoon says Downtown too.

That's only if one of your parks is the Magic Kingdom - and the in-process MK bus depot expansion will resolve it. You can't get between MK and any park without going through the TTC.

There are direct buses between:
Animal Kingdom and Disney's Hollywood Studios
Animal Kingdom and Epcot
Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios (boat also available, but with stop)

I saw a post from 2009 about the Studios to Epcot bus and wondered if it was still running. The post said it was a faster option to the front of the park than walking or boat. Not that we're usually headed to the front if the park.

I can verify there is a bus between AK and the other parks. We went from AK to see Osborne Lights in Dec. The bus stop was way on the far side past all the others.

Yep, still running. We usually pick between the boat or bus depending on where we are in Epcot (future world or WS).

We were just there as well and they do have park to park buses.

There were also CMs at every bus stop asking guests if they had questions, concerns and getting quite a lot of flak from some guests! The one we spoke with at the Poly said that Disney is well aware of the complaints/concerns, and they have tried many different ways to improve the transportation system, but no one answer is fitting the bill. He did tell one man, if you could solve the problem Disney will hire you and pay you a lot of money :rotfl2:

So, if anyone has a great solution, make up a resume!

Please tell me where these buses are, we have honestly never seen them. I even asked one of the bus drivers at HS about buses to other parks and she said we would have to take one of the resort buses and hop a bus from there to the other parks. I'm confused.

Yeah, park-to-park buses are not new. Once the third bus loop is completed at MK, it is expected the TTC's role in them will disappear. (Monorail passengers will still transfer there on their way to Epcot though.)

They are in the same spots as the resort buses generally. You just have to look at the signs and follow them.

First rule of DISboards: never take a bus driver's advice without verifying it through other sources.

Second rule of DISboards: phone CMs aren't much better, sadly.

Third rule of DISboards: there is no spoon. ;)

Here's a picture of the stop list at Epcot showing a bus to Animal Kingdom:

Well, OP, look at it this way -- your idea was so good, WDW already implemented it. :thumbsup2

I've moved this thread to the Transportation board.

As several people have said, park to park buses already exist. :thumbsup2

And as mesaboy2 correctly pointed out, once the new bus loop construction at the MK is completed, MK buses will be going directly to the MK bus area. :)

I took a bus from AK one morning last month to DHS. At least I'm pretty sure that what I did was an early opening for AK followed by DHS for Star Tours & TSMM.
The bus stop was w-a-a-a-y far out, in an area that had stops for (I think) non-Disney shuttles. I had never been out in that lot before, and I would never have seen it, but I'm pretty sure there was signage -- or I wouldn't have been there! :) Me and the other 40 or so people who decided to do the same thing. I had to take the 2nd bus!

So I can see how many people would not know these exist.

OK, I just HAVE to know this story.

It's from the Matrix.

Spoon boy: Do not try and bend the spoon - that's impossible. Instead, only try to realize the truth.

Neo: What truth?

Spoon boy: There is no spoon.

Neo: There is no spoon?

Spoon boy: Then you will see that it is not the spoon that bends, it is only yourself.
