i can't remember for the life of me!

are there buses from parks to downtown disney? and then back to the park?

we will be at epcot for the day.....dinner in DTD......then want to go back to epcot to watch illuminations.

No buses from DTD directly to any park. You have to take a bus to a resort to get transportation back to Epcot. Another option is to drive.
Buses from DTD to parks were discontinued a few years ago because the lots were filling up with visitors trying to avoid the parking charges at the parks.

No buses from a theme park to DTD. You can take a bus to SSR then walk(bus or boat) to DTD. You can walk (or take a boat) to BC then take a bus to DTD.

JMO but either route is going to take more time then it's worth. It could easily take an hour(or more).

I'd have dinner in EPCOT and save DTD for another night. You could take a bus from DTD to the Contemporary and walk over to the MK to see Wishes for example.

I don't believe so.
The DTD to park busses have not ran in quite awhile, to prevent people from parking at DTD and bussing to a park to avoid the parking fees.

Since you are at EPCOT, consider walking out the back entrance (IG) to one of the EPCOT area resorts, and catching a bus or taxi to DTD. Then, just bus (or taxi) back to such a resort from DTD, and re-enter through IG for Illuminations.

i'm thinking that a boat ride to BC....then bus and back might be fun! (no kids this time, so we are taking our time)
