People should feel welcome but should not fear monger people or act like a theme park that is nestled in a city where people live relatively close to is "bad" or "makes them feel unsafe." especially people who have no knowledge of the area and seem very privileged. There is a lot of othering in my opinion and that isn't okay either and should be called out.

I’m trying real hard not to be offensive in defending myself and for the respect of others I will leave it at this: I - person speaking; don’t - opposite of do; feel - experience (an emotion or sensation); safe - secure from threat of danger, harm, or loss, Opinion - not necessarily based on fact or knowledge, belonging to each individual oftentimes differing.

I’m not “fear mongering” I’m stating MY OPINION. The unwelcomeness is not on my part, I’ve welcomed differing opinions. All the berating in the world will not change MY opinion. I’m also not the only visitor to feel this way so luckily for all of us there are different options on how WE each choose to spend OUR vacation time and money.

I am once again recommending that advice is welcome but it's important to be aware of the tone when replying to someone. It doesn't matter if their hesitance or worry is unfounded in your view. What some people fear or prefer to avoid may not seem like anything to others. Just reiterate that Harbor is a safe and nice alternative to on site hotels/prices but acknowledge that there are typical urban realities that some don't care to see. There isn't a right or wrong as both options are good, but I do think it's wrong to attack someone for feeling a little wary. People should feel welcome here on our board.
