WDW Bass Fishing

Anybody try this? No a big fishing family but looks fun I hear WDW is good fishing--I realize catch-n-release. I have 1st and 6th grade sons and I 3rd grade daughter also whom may be interested? Any info would be appreciated

Did the fishing two years ago with my son on Bay lake and seven seas lagoon. When we went fishing my wife and daughter did the princess tea at the Grand Floridian, we left from GF for the fishing. We each got a couple of fish, it all depends on the fish that day. It was alot of fun and we may do it again this year when we go. Give it a try it was fun two hours.

Depending on the time of year you go, the fishing ranges from good to incredible.

Ask for Carrie to be your guide. She does a great job.

Use the live shad as bait. Purists will say that real fishermen use artificial lures in order to show their skill. The live bait are easy to fish. Throw them out there and leave them.

The guides say you catch more fish in 7 Seas Lagoon than in the Epcot area.

I am so glad this is being talked about!!! Just last night my son mentioned that he would like to try fishing and I thought maybe we could all try it at WDW in July. I started looking up info and saw that it was about $225 for 2 hours... . That might be a little steap for our first fishing trip. But then again, if there are a lot of positive reviews, we might just give it a try.

Our pics above are from the first week of August and we caught around 20 in 2 hours with live bait. The guide was super helpfull. We also did the 7AM trip so maybe that is better? He said April is the best, but we thought is was great.
