DH and I will be going to DL the first week of February 2015 to celebrate our 27th wedding anniversary:goodvibes We are staying at The Disneyland Hotel for 5 nights. We will have 4 day PH.

We love WDW and have had 3 anniversary trips without any children with us for those and really enjoy taking in the atmosphere and details. We love pretty much all the rides and shows.

I am looking forward to reading up and getting information to make this trip as magical as possible.

Any suggestions are appreciated:thumbsup2

You are almost 180 days out, you better start thinking about your ADR's and planning...

Just kidding! Most ADR's can be made the day of or the day before.

Disneyland is not nearly as stressful as Disney World. If you like planning every detail, have fun, you will enjoy yourself.
I personally think the "magic" that happens when you happen to run across something fun is far more special. Go with the flow and all will be fine.

I generally agree with kitayama with a few caveats. DLR, just due to its size, doesn't have as many table service venues as WDW. In most cases, you can get ADRs the day before or for the same day without too much problems. The main exception is the Blue Bayou. You don't need to be online on the 60-day mark (that is when the ADR window opens), but I wouldn't count on getting day-of ADRs either. So if you know you want to eat at the Blue Bayou, I would make an ADR beforehand.

The other exception is you're going during a busy holiday period, such as the 4th of July, Thanksgiving, or the week between Christmas and New Year. If you're going during those periods, then I would make ADRs and not chance walking up or trying to make day of ADRs.

The Fantasmic! Dessert Package is another thing that tends to fill up beforehand. Again, I don't think you have to be online right when reservations open up (30-days before), but I would wait too long either.
