We're going to WDW 6/9 - 6/16. Staying off site 6/9-6/15, on site @ AKL 6/15-6/16. I'm starting to consider what FP+ to go for when the time comes for me to reserve them ahead of time online. We are Disneyland veterans and as you know, you don't book anything in advance for FP at DL.

From what I can tell, on 4/15 (or maybe it's 4/16?) I should be able to book the FP+ for 6/15 and for all of our previous park days since our on site stay is at the tail end of our trip.

I plan on booking the 6/15 FP first, then all of the preceding days right after that. Preferably, I'd like to have all 3 FPs in the mornings. We're not going to use any FPs for evening entertainment shows. Here's what I was thinking of so far:

Fri 6/15:
- FOP or the river journey ride
- Kilimanjaro Safaris
- Kali River Rapids or Lion King musical
**NOT interested in Dinosaur at all

Thurs 6/14:
Our last Magic Kingdom day. DH will be with us in the afternoon/evening (He's in Orlando for a work conf this week). We're doing the fireworks dessert party that evening.
- 7DMT (but if we don't get this, I'm ok w/that)
- Pirates
- Enchanted Tales w/Belle

Wed:
no FP. No parks this day

Tues 6/12:
At Magic Kingdom
- Peter Pan (but I realize that the odds of this are slim).
- Splash Mtn
- HM

Mon 6/11:
Epcot day
- Frozen Ever After or Test Track
- Spaceship Earth
- Meet Disney pals @ Epcot character spot

Sun 6/10:
Magic Kingdom. DH will be with us all morning. No plans to return to the park once we leave early afternoon unless DH needs quiet time in the hotel room after dinner to study for his certification test. We're having dinner at Hoop Dee Doo that evening.
- Tomorrowland Speedway
- BTMRR
- Splash Mtn

YDD really enjoys meet & greets, but we have no intention of spending a ton of FPs on meet & greets. DH is not a thrill ride fan, but he'll go on BTMRR. He hates the drop on Splash Mtn. My family hates Space Mtn (I love it).

YDD's favorite ride is Jungle Cruise. I hope we can ride this standby or get a 4th FP for later in the day.
ODD's is Splash Mtn
DH's is Pirates.
I like just about everything.

We are NOT going on Mission Space. I've heard too many motion sickness stories about that ride! Definitely skipping that one. We're going to skip Winnie the Pooh. Just went on about a week ago at Disneyland! It's a cute ride, but I wouldn't devote a FP to it. Ironically, at DL, it's rarely more than a 15 min wait.

What do you WDW vets think? We are skipping Hollywood Studios.

OK. Some thoughts.
1.You cannot book FPs while staying offsite(6/9-6/14) till 30 days before(Some exceptions). 60 days kicks in at your onsite stay and after.April 16 is the 1st day to book FPs for your AKL stay.

Look at post #4, last option, offsite followed by onsite.

P.S. I just read it, and I'm confused! Maybe you are right!

If you are going standby for Jungle Cruise, make it one of your 1st rides of the day, at rope drop.

You might have trouble getting FOP for 60 days. I hope you get it! As KittyKitty said, I don’t think you will be able to book th fast passes at 60 days for the days prior to your on-site stay, you can do it for after but not before. Other than that it looks great. I hope you have a wonderful trip!

Did you book a package: room+tickets, or, did you buy your tickets separately?

If your tickets are separate from your AKL room reservation, you can book for all park days when your 60-day FP booking window opens.

If you booked a package, you should call to change and book room-only and then purchase your tickets separately.

Ok. If you have time, call Disney and try to change your reservation to room-only. Purchase your tickets through a third party seller (discounted pricing) or through your MDX app.

You’ll need to do this or you’ll be blocked from pre-booking FPs for ALL your offsite park days. You’d have to wait until you arrive at WDW and activate the ticket portion of your “package” and immediately book FPs for those days.

Consider making expeditions everest us third FP at Ak if you have any interest in riding it.

You should be able to get Peter Pan 60 days out

Well, this is really frustrating.

I've already paid for everything, so I can't remove the tickets from the room+tickets package. What a pain in the neck. that's different than what I read on the other post linked above, but maybe I read it incorrectly. Oh well, there's nothing I can do about it now. And I'm not going to freak out about it. It's not going to ruin the trip or anything silly like that. We'll simply adjust our plans accordingly. We're not going to be touring the parks commando style all day long in the sweaty June summer heat. We're going to do mornings, have lunch, then leave.

Jungle Cruise is not a ride I would ever choose to do right at rope drop. If we're going to devote something to rope drop, it would be something like BTMRR, Splash Mtn, Pirates, or HM. I'm willing to wait 20 min for Jungle Cruise, but not 45 min.

You have time to call and explain. You are more than 60 days out and your package payment wasn’t yet due so they can make the change to room-only.

I did write the Split Stay section and only offsite to room-only onsite allows FP booking for all the park days.
