Yeah, yeah. I've never been to Disney World.:sad2: It's not for a lack of trying... but I am still quite obsessed with all things Disney... so the other day while I was browsing through a local thrift store I was sifting through the massive supply of old records, glancing at the wall of forgotten and beat up VHS tapes... I was saddened because the once large array of Disney VHS tapes had disappeared since my last visit:guilty:; when I so stupidly decided I wasn't going to buy any VHS tapes.

The absence of one in particular really stung because I knew that I would never EVER find it again unless I wanted to pay internet prices. No, it wasn't Beauty and the Beast or Alladin (Even though, I wanted those too...) It was a 25 minute film made in 1980 that was supposed to be something to help people reminisce over their vacation; probably to make their desire to come back that much greater.

In previous trips to this Thrift Store I had seen this video, and decided it would be silly to get, especially since it was made before I was born. But, still, not seeing it there collecting dust made me sad. I was about to walk out of the "electronics room" when my husband said, "Hey - look at this!" I turned, expecting to see some sort old computer device that always intrigued him, but no. He held up the WDW video from 1980! JACK POT!:woohoo: He also found Fantasia, which I did not pass up this time either.

So, since our donation had been dropped off, and I had found my little gem I hurriedly decided it was time to go, I gladly paid my $3.00 and bounced out giddily and with feverish delight at my newest piece of WDW memorabilia.

It's INCREDIBLE!

:happytv:popcorn::I very much enjoyed watching every single moment of the video, oohing and ahhing at the attractions that I know are still there; and sighing seeing the attractions that have been put to rest. I got to see River Country in it's prime, Discovery Island, hotels that closed to make way for the Grand Floridian, the old Country Bear Jamboree, and the Nautilus: 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea... Not to mention the original Main Street Electrical Parade.

:cloud9:All watching the video has done is strengthen my desire to finally get to the world, and I'm not just writing of my sudden and deep love for this 25 minute sales pitch video, just to write about it... but I thought I would see if there is anyone here who would be interested in seeing it as well. I have no idea how to get VHS onto my computer/YouTube, but I'm sure my uber genious husband knows how... but I won't ask if there isn't good reason.

So - Any of you interested in watching this??? Thanks for putting up with my incessant writing!
