We are planning on having dinner on one of our free days at WCC. Haven't been to WDW before so I have been trying to figure out our transportation. Am I right in assuming that if we are at MK we can take the boat to the WL or is there a bus from the parks to WL if we should be in another area? What would be the best way? Our ressie is for 8:20 pm! TIA for your help!

I could be wrong but I believe that you can take the boat from MK. There are buses for all the resorts at all the parks, you just have to find the right line for WL. Again, we are going on our first trip in 13 days :cool1: :cheer2: so I could be wrong.

You can do both...we just returned from WDW in Oct. and stayed at WL. You can take either a bus or boat from MK or a bus from any other park to WL.

I really am leaning toward taking the boat from MK as this seems like something fun for the kids to do since we will be using the bus system all week! Thanks for the info! Does anyone know how long the boat ride is? Would like to make sure we are there in plenty of time!

It is about a 12 minute ride not including wait time. So, if you do have to wait a bit for the boat the longest it should be in total is 20 to 25 minutes.

Your only problem when you leave could be getting back to your hotel. If the MK closes early you'll need to take the bus to another location and then change to your own resort bus. It's been awhile since I've stayed at the Lodge and I've heard that the bus does not go to the TTC anymore but I could be mistaken.

We are going 12/21 so I dont think MK will be closing early that day as the last party is the 20th but I will check hours...thanks for all the replies!

Thanks!...obsessively planning here! Thank goodness it is a free day! Seems like this the only ressie so far that I am glad for the time!
