We will be on the MYW Meal Plan when we go Late November. We are considering going to WCC for dinner one night. We are most interested in the all-you-can-eat skillet. Do you still get an appetizer in addition to the skillet or is the salad that is included considered the appetizer?

Thanks!! :sunny:

I'm almost certain that if you get the skillets, it's considered a buffet/plated meal and you don't get the appetizer. Maybe someone who has had this will come along with their experience.

With the all-you-can-eat skillet, you do not get an extra appy. A salad is included with the ayce and that is considered the appy. Have fun!!

Since the skillet includes appetizer(salad/cornbread) you can not order one off the menu, but you do get to order ANY dessert.

We walked in on Monday night, our plane arrived @6:20 pm and we were eating our skillets by 8:30(no ARs).

When we were there in July we were able to order an appetizer and the skillet and dessert ( we only ordered 1 appy and no dessert, way too much to eat!!!!)

We had the same experience during our trip last April. My son and I both ordered appetizers, way too much food.

We could have ordered dessert also but we were stuffed by then. :dog2:

No app if you order the all you can eat but you do get dessert. If you order al a carte, you get app, entree and dessert.

We went to WCC in April and DH ordered the chicken wing app and the skillet. Our server actually encouraged him to try the wings. Too much food...

It depends on your server - so will allow you to order an appy and some won't. This is the case at most restaurants. So servers will allow you to get whatever you want (soda, milkshake and coffee, add on items to your entree, dessert samplers/dessert for 2, etc) some servers read the dining plan very strictly. It's just the luck of the draw.

Our server pushed the apps on us even though we were getting the skillet, being that it meant more money for him. It was a lot of food, plus a milkshake as a drink. None of us had room for dessert, although he tried to push it on us. He suggested we take it back to our room. We neglected his offer and he seemed a little unhappy. He should of just told us to order it and leave it there so he could get some extra money. This should be addressed by Disney so that the dining plan remains and good deal and they don't have to raise prices.
