WCC Poll - Best and/or Worst Server

We had Cheryl the past two years and she was fantastic. I couldn't believe when we were seated last year and had her again - what are the chances?! She went out of her way to make sure DD had fun - who was in a very sour mood when we got there. She brought her a HUGE chocolate milkshake with giant straws, sprinkles, etc. She also brought her a plate covered with a whipped cream smiley face, chocolate syrup and sprinkles. It was so cute. We loved her! We are trying new places this next trip, but we will miss seeing Cheryl!

I've updated the original post again, and arranged the list of servers by number of votes.

So glad to hear everyone's responses!! (both positive and negative)

Last time we had MT Wallet and she was great!! She had a lot of fun with us about my pregnant belly, and also teased DH for being a "blue card" CM (called him Boss the whole time).

We had Uncle Dave last December, and he was good.

I don't know if he did on purpose or not, but I asked for a flavor of milkshake (can't even remember now). He brought out a different flavor the first time, then brought out a different flavor the second time, and when I gave him a hard time about still wanting the original flavor that he never brought he called me out (and made all the rest of the men join) to get up in the middle of the restaurant and perform "I'm a little Teapot". DD loved dad getting trouble like this.

And yes, I did eventually get the flavor I wanted.

I was just going to ask if Uncle Dave is still there. :thumbsup2 That's the Uncle Dave of "Love you, mean it" fame! He was our server in Jan of '05 and we loved his snarky ways.

That's him. I forgot about the "Love you" thing until you mentioned it. Every time he would give me a hard time he would tell DD6 "love you". I think he sensed that DD is a little shy, so he was nice to her.

We had Miss Understood our first time eating there (2 years ago) and she was HORRIBLE! Hateful, didn't visit us except to bring our drinks and food and made sure to tell us not to use our salad plates to put the bread on!!!! We may try there again one day but she ruined it for us that first try.

This is a great thread:thumbsup2

We will be eating at WCC on Sept.19 and I am interested in having a "rowdy" server because we are a ham of a family, and love restaurants with this type of amotsphere;)
:cheer2:

I was the one to vote for Prairie Grass Skirt but she appears to be the same person as "Prairie Girl" (Great pic, lynninpa!) so you can combine those votes if you'd like, op :)

We had Hickory (Wendi) twice during our trip and we looooved her. She was attentive and fun. Our first breakfast with her was on Tuesday. On Sunday (our departure day) we had her again - she remembered us and our drinks from the time before.

I guess our first indication should have been that our server didn't even have a cutesy name. The person who sat us said our server would be Monica, and that's also what she called herself. I don't want to say we had bad service- it was fine for any other restaurant, but there were no antics, and you could see that some other tables close by had some really obnoxious (fun) servers, which is what we were hoping for. Dh went through 4 jars of coke before our food, and she still kept bringing out the little jars. She did bring them, and all the food promptly, though.

Also, I don't see a poll?

We went for two breakfasts - once early in our trip and once before we headed to the airport. Sorry to not be able to offer an opinion on Lunch or Dinner.

Here are thumbs up :thumbsup2 for Deputy Doug and Hedda Lettuce.

We have never had bad service at WCC -- my only complaint is the pedestrian food quality at upscale prices -- but we have kids, so we go for the fun "atmosphere."

I've been lax in updating this and I apologize.

We've got a great list, thanks to everyone who's responded so far and feel free to share your experiences if others haven't chimed in yet.

I'm just tracking the results in a poll like fashion on the first post. Not knowing the names of every server I couldn't set up an actual poll. Sorry for any confusion.

:scared1:

We waited FOREVER for everything. She started out really well, but once we got our drinks and the initial skillet, she disappeared. Other tables around us all had the same problem. Our ADR was for 5:45 (and we got in a little early). We wanted to get to MK for the evening parade / fireworks which kicked off at 9:00. We didn't make it. :scared: :(

We have had many waiters and waitresses through the years at WCC, and most have been really good. But one lady really stands out for us, and we have only seen her the one time. Her name is MJ. She is a hoot. I wouldnt be surprised if she wasnt doing standup comedy somewhere. She kept us in stitches, and really latched on to our son. She told him she was gonna meet him by the pool after work and all kinds of stuff to embarass him. Still to this day, several trips later MJ comes up in conversation. If anyone knows if she is still there, let us know.
