We are going in May, and have been both places. However, it has been 4 years since Ohana and 2 years since we were at WCC. We enjoyed them both very much!! BUT I have been reading some of the posts and it seems things have changed alot in this time regarding food quality and service...not to mention the cost!! (We will not be on any dining plan)

I am just curious what the consensus would be if choosing between these two?

I am interested in Dinner only!!!

Thanks in Advance!!

Although I love WCC for breakfast, I'd vote for Ohana for dinner.

We went to both last May but for our trip this May we are only returning to Ohana. I think WCC varies according to where you are seated and your server. Our experience there was just OK but we loved the food at Ohana.

My family loves the BBQ at WCC, but 'Ohana is a must for every trip!! So I say 'Ohana. The dessert is worth the trip alone.

My vote goes for Ohana. Bread Pudding with Banana Foster Sauce topped with Vanilla Ice Cream...:thumbsup2

We did both on our Christmas trip. I planned for WCC thinking the kids would love it. We' d been there before but it has been a few years. I have to say it was a huge let down. I don't know if it is because they were just really really busy but there were really no fun antics at all. When we first sat down they would occasionally yell for ketchup and kids from different tables would all get up and bring a bottle over but by the end of the meal someone had come around and put a bottle of ketchup on every table so no one would ask. Our server threw our straws at us but that was it. Only one server was hamming it up at all. Rather than looking like this was what normally goes on it WCC it came across more as that this one lady was crazy. My 5 year old actually said "Mom, what is wrong with her? Why does she keep acting like that." Rather than thinking it was fun, it seemed to make him nervous. Even the horse race was lame. A CM brought out the big barrel of hobby horses and told the kids to come get one and "go around the restaurant" but they didn't even start them off like a race, just whenever you get up here grab one and walk around. The CM didn't even stay by the barrel. About 4 or 5 minutes later they asked for all the horses to be brought back and they cleared them away.

I was really really disappointed. I really think they were just way too busy to be silly but when the DRAW for that place is the silly stuff it's disappointing. The food was just OK and the service was lacking.

Ohana on the other hand we all loved. Our kids did the hula lessons, the limbo and the coconut race. The food was much better (the bread pudding was divine!) as was the service. There is no question in my mind...we would absolutely pick Ohana!

This is a tough one for me. I loved both of them. Both of them in different ways. We had excellent entertainment from the WCC staff in December and ok service from Ohana, but the food and hula hoops made up for the service.

I would say Ohana if you could only choose one place. The food was amazing there and the pudding was delicious :thumbsup2
