We did both on our Christmas trip. I planned for WCC thinking the kids would love it. We' d been there before but it has been a few years. I have to say it was a huge let down. I don't know if it is because they were just really really busy but there were really no fun antics at all. When we first sat down they would occasionally yell for ketchup and kids from different tables would all get up and bring a bottle over but by the end of the meal someone had come around and put a bottle of ketchup on every table so no one would ask. Our server threw our straws at us but that was it. Only one server was hamming it up at all. Rather than looking like this was what normally goes on it WCC it came across more as that this one lady was crazy. My 5 year old actually said "Mom, what is wrong with her? Why does she keep acting like that." Rather than thinking it was fun, it seemed to make him nervous. Even the horse race was lame. A CM brought out the big barrel of hobby horses and told the kids to come get one and "go around the restaurant" but they didn't even start them off like a race, just whenever you get up here grab one and walk around. The CM didn't even stay by the barrel. About 4 or 5 minutes later they asked for all the horses to be brought back and they cleared them away.
I was really really disappointed. I really think they were just way too busy to be silly but when the DRAW for that place is the silly stuff it's disappointing. The food was just OK and the service was lacking.
Ohana on the other hand we all loved. Our kids did the hula lessons, the limbo and the coconut race. The food was much better (the bread pudding was divine!) as was the service. There is no question in my mind...we would absolutely pick Ohana!
