I only have one more ressie I can make for our family of 10 with 2 children ages 6 and 10. I can't decide between 50's Prime Time and Whispering Canyon Cafe. Can those of you who have eaten at both, please give me some advice as to which one you think a group of adults and children of the ages above would enjoy most? Thank you for your help. :santa:

Both are good... but what are you doing that day? If I had to choose.... I personally would choose WCC---but if it made it inconvenient to get there, I'd take 50's no problem.

WWC - great interaction and feels like more room at the tables. Rathre do this than Prime Time. Disappointed in the food on our September trip:snooty:

Definitely WCC. The food at 50's Prime Time was terrible when we ate there this month, and your kids can enjoy running around WCC.

I'm in the minority here and I pick 50's Prime Time. You could NOT pay us to go back to WCC -- awful food (hubby got sick) and terrible service. And there were no antics the entire 2 plus hours we were there (not a single ketchup, birthday, etc., throughout the restaurant; I'm told it depends on the servers).

If you are going for the food I'd pick WCC. We have been there numerous times and usually at least once per trip and have never had a bad experience with the food and only one bad experience with the service (new server, bad communication, we had a large party, very busy).

If you are going strictly for atmosphere I'd go with 50's. But for me, 50's atmosphere isn't worth the food or service that I've gotten there and if I want to soak in the atmosphere I'll walk in and look around before leaving to find somewhere else to eat. Out of four times there three were less than good. Why did we go back after the first bad time? I believe in the whole three strikes you are out thing when it comes to restaurants. Every restaurant can have an off day/night but if it happens three times than, imho, it is the restaurant.

We liked both. If I had to choose with the younger children in mind, I'd choose WCC. I thought it was more "entertaining."

50's Prime Time.

We have eaten there a couple dozen times and other than the level of interaction between different servers, have always had a great time and great food.

WCC on the other hand hit the three strikes mark a few years ago after constantly changing the menu and the quality of the food going down hill :(

def would suggest WCC over the 50's ... i find the 50's to be lacking on the menu... who really orders tuna noodle casserole for dinner at WDW? I think WCC was better with the kids, groups and more fun :)

I like both 50's and WCC, but if I had to choose between the two, I would go with WCC. I like the food and atmosphere better. I think the "activities" there would probably amuse your kids.

For me, it would be depend on the itinerary I had planned. If you are in or near DS, 50's PTC is a great choice and likewise for WCC if you are in the vicinity of MK. Both are great choices for families looking for some fun and ambience with interactive dining experiences.

We really enjoy 50's PTC. The food is good, the service is fun and the atmosphere is great. I think with your mainly adult group you would all find this fun.

My vote is the PT 50's, we have dined there 4 times and have never been let down.

We've only been to WDW one time, back in 2007, so my opinion might not count for much. We did both, and we enjoyed both, but if we had to pick just one to do again, it'd be 50's. As it happens, though, we liked both so much that we are doing both again in May. I think my 10 year old will enjoy the antics at 50's more than the horse races at WCC, but both were amazing and I don't think you can go wrong with either.

Done both with kids that age and IMO WCC is better for including them in on the fun. It seems that at 50's the servers get into it more with the adults than the kids. JM.02

We ate at both this past August and while the food was good at 50's PrimeTime...the atmosphere was better at WCC. DD loved taking the Ketchup to the other table.:lmao:

We've done both. DH loves 50s. He enjoys the banter. Still likes to talk about time when our table was being bussed and DS handed me his plate. Server told him mom wasn't there to wait on him and now he wasn't going to either. Made him take his own plate all the way back to the kitchen.
DD9 loves WCC. Why? Not the antics, the bottomless milkshakes. I don't know if they still have all the flavors they had last time we were there (cotton candy and bubble gum?), but milkshake refills were super fun, a Disney only experience for us.
We're doing both next trip. My advice, if you are in HS that day, just go to 50s unless you have a car or are staying at a MK resort. It is quite a journey on Disney transportation.
