WCC on a MK day?

I'm doing a one-night at the Poly, one-day at MK side trip for just me and DS in early September. We will have checked out of the hotel the morning before our MK day, so I'm thinking I'd like to have an early evening dinner ADR to get us out of the park for a couple of hours before heading back over for the fireworks.

I've never been to WCC or even seen WL, for that matter, so I thought it would be fun.

Is it manageable to head to WCC for dinner and then back to MK? Would that really count as a somewhat restful break from the park?

It is very easy to go over from Magic Kingdom to WCC. The easiest way IMO is to take the boat, its a very nice, maybe 10 minute ride. You can also just take the bus from MK to Wilderness Lodge.

WCC has very good food- but I wouldn't call it a very relaxing place! It can get VERY loud & rowdy.

Wilderness Lodge is a beautiful resort though, and you will have a fantastic time looking over the grounds.
