The upated menu on allears 7/07 no longer shows the all you can eat skillet for the kid's menu. Is this correct or maybe it just got left off? Has anyone been recently during July that knows?:confused3

I was just there last week and the "kids skillet" is no longer. They have the same old kids menu that almost every other restaurant has.

They were also the only restaurant that made a deal at of my mother and I sharing a meal (no it wasn't the skillet but a plated dinner). We ended up ordering an appetizer salad to go with the dinner.

This restaurant will be on the list that I review. You can see it on the link below if you are interested.

I am curious as to why they made a big deal out of you sharing. Were you on the dining plan?

No we weren't. It was the only restaurant that did this. The portions are so large that we shared in almost every restaurant. It allowed us to order desert if we wanted or to eat lunch/dinner which we wouldn't do if we didn't share just do to the quantity of food.

I picked WCC for the skillet so DS4 could have something a little different now I guess we will have to rethink that plus their desserts don't look the greatest for our taste.

That stinks. This is one of our favorites, and DD always gets the skillet. It's one of the few places where she actually eats some decent food. Disney is making it much easier for us to just go offsite to eat by messing up everything good.

The kids' skillet is still on the (updated-this-month) menu!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Entrees: Cheeseburger OR Macaroni and Cheese OR Canyon Skillet (Add $2.00 for Skillet)

That concerns me as my mom and I are PLANNING on sharing food just for the reason you stated... so if we want to try a dessert we can! I hope they all don't start being picky about sharing food!

WCC still had the Kid's Canyon Skillet last month, DS9 got it so he and I shared. Also, Allearsnet menu for this month says it's still there, so that's not a problem.

Regarding sharing meals, I'd be surprised if this was anything more than a CM having a bad day. Considering some of the shenanigans they deal with every day, I'd be willing to bet one might get tired and cranky.

We had a pleasant meal there, though the skillet wasn't up to the quality of great BBQ I've had in Texas and other southern states. It was definitely better than BBQ I've had in Louisiana, though. They should stick to Cajun and Creole.

I am glad to hear the skillet is still threre. I hope they don't do a sudden scale back for the free dining program. They find more and more ways every year it goes on.

We were there in early July, and got the kids skillet with no problem. My kids loved it!

I really don't think this was it as he was quite friendly and didn't appear to be cranky at all. He was just very direct that we could not share. Wouldn't even bring an extra plate after we ordered the appetizer salad. He said it would require management approval to share.... Maybe he was new??? Anyways it was the only place we had the issue.

Regarding the kids skillet.... I didn't see it on the menu we had but maybe I missed it???? My son wouldn't have wanted it anyway so that might be possible.
