We are doing the dining plan and the day we go to MK we wanted to do a dinner reservation that wouldn't require us to return to the car. We have already eaten at most of the TS places in MK so these three choices came to mind, Whispering Canyon Cafe, Kona, or Ohana. I can't eat at all three during the trip as not enough time and we haven't eaten at any of them before. Any suggestions? This is our plan so far:

Oct 17 - Arrival day, Chef Mickey's Dinner 5:00 p.m.
Oct 18 - AK, Boma's Dinner 6:20 p.m.
Oct 19 - MK, CRT 11:15 a.m.Breakfast, then dinner WCC/Kona/or Ohana??
Oct 20 - Epcot, Le Cellier Dinner 7:30 p.m. (earliest time I could get, will still try for 5:00 p.m.)
Oct 21 - MNSSHP, no plans for TS that day because we want to head into MK right at 4:00 p.m.
Oct 22 - MGM, Play n Dine 2:20 p.m.
Oct 23 - Leave

There are 5 in our family, parents, kids ages 2, 7, & 9. I don't want to spend any additional money for food out of pocket and I think it can be done. Only myself and daughter are doing CRT so I think I can do it! We want to try new places this trip so the only repeat is Chef Mickey's. Any suggestions, any great TS places I am missing? Which one, WCC/Kona/Ohana. My older two will eat pretty much anything, they love seafood and steak too. Thanks.

We liked our food in this order:

Kona
'Ohana
WCC

I'll say that generally, Kona is the more adventurous menu of the three you mentioned and in terms of food, probably the most upscale. The atmosphere is the most relaxing, too.

'Ohana is fun and silly, and we really liked our food there as well, though it's a different experience than Kona. There are games and dancing and music for kids, so take that into consideration. It's not relaxing at all.

We've eaten at WCC three times (on different trips). We thought in July, the food was not as good as it's been in the past, and the service we had was not that great. My salad was terrible, and dessert was not worth the calories. There's also lots of yelling and banging there (that's part of the atmosphere), so if you don't want that, avoid it. We've crossed it off our list for this July, though we are returning to Kona and 'Ohana, both of which are now on our list of regular places.

The trip to the Polynesian is also usually quicker than the boat to WL, which is another consideration for you.

My favorites out of those three is 'Ohana. I love the food and the atmosphere is so much fun..WCC is also very fun and the food is good, but I like 'Ohana better. I've never tried Kona, but have heard great things about it!!

Whatever you decide, I hope you have a fantastic trip!

I would go with Ohana, fun for kids and plenty of food, all you can eat. Kona is good also, no entertainment though. We have only been to WCC once and did not enjoy it at all, the food was so-so and and the service was poor.

I vote for Ohana. My DF and I really enjoyed it. The food was delicious.

I would choose Kona for the food. It was heavenly! That being said though, I got overruled this time bu DD13 and we are doing Ohana--lost of fun for the kids, and the food (before the menue change at least) was good. I hope it still is!

I would try Kona. I love the food there. Last trip we ate at O'hana and didn't like it at all. The food was rather nasty. We were going to try WC next month but I backed off after reading some so-so reviews. Instead, we switched to Spoodles.

Other possibilities: Concourse steak house, 1900 Park Faire, and the often-overlooked Grand Floridian cafe. I have only had breakfast there and it was superb.

I think Kona's has wonderful food. Ohana's is just gross IMHO. Dried up meat on a stick.:crazy2:
