Seems like most restaurants on here get love/hate posts... but this one seems to get ALL hate. Just curious if anyone likes it. We booked it for our upcoming trip because I thought my boys might enjoy seeing Wilderness Lodge... but I am seriously contemplating changing.

We liked it; the shakes were really good, my DH really enjoyed the skillet, and the kids loved the lincoln logs while we were waiting; plus the resort is really lovely to be in. Although we're not hitting it this trip, it's not because we didn't like it, we just decided to try all new locations this year.

We ate there in June and really enjoyed our meal. We had the Barbeque Pork Spring Rolls which were very good and the Chicken Sandwich w/ fries which I really liked. I wouldn't say it's one of the best meals I've ever had at WDW but I would eat there again and have good memories of our lunch.:thumbsup2

We love the breakfast skillet, but dinner is so so. The atmosphere is great though and anyone who hates eating there is setting their expectation bar crazy high. I see complaints all the time on the Dis about the food, and if people complained as much about food at home, they'd be banned from every outback steakhouse in the USA. I'll admit that sometimes the food is not spectacular, but I've never disliked it. In conclusion make sure your expectations of food, attractions waits, wdw transportation are realistic, however you can always plan on being blown away by performance, show quality, attention to detail in attractions. Be realistic people and live the magic.

DH and I had dinner there about a year ago and we enjoyed it. We had the skillet and thought it was very good. Dessert was also really great.

Ate there for the first time our last trip and we enjoyed the food and the atmosphere too. Kids had mac and cheese, adults had skillet, steaks. Everyone liked what they had and I had apple pie for dessert which the server informed me was filled with apples picked that morning. Very good, we'll probably include it in our restaurant rotation next visit.

My wife and I are not huge fans but we go because both my boys (10 and 6) love it here. The food isn't very good (not a fan of the skillet at all) but I'll agree that the restaurant makes it a lot a fun for the kids. If it wasn't for our boys, we wouldn't visit this restaurant.

This is the resort we always stay at, so we have been there many times. The breakfast is very good. Dinner (skillet) is just ok. The service is fun and worth trying once:):thumbsup2

We had dinner there in August and had the skillet. It was horrible. The meat was greasy and the potatoes were hard. Will never eat there again.

We go everytime we in WDW I was thrilled to get my ressie for 6 this time : )

I love the skillet, yes it has changed over the years but it has always been good . You will love the salad dressing:thumbsup2

I've seen plenty of reviews from those who like it, alongside plenty of reviews from those who don't. My advice would be to try it for yourself. Personally, I like lunch there, but not dinner. I don't like the skillet.

We went there for lunch last year. The skillet was good. Definitely not the best bbq I've had, but it was good. My nephew enjoyed playing with the lincoln logs while we waited. Our server was very animated and we got excellent service. We'll probably go back for lunch.

Was just there for lunch. As I'm a fan of the WL, this place is frequently on my radar screen.

Skillet wasn't bad at all. In fact, I very much liked the chicken. My waitress was exceptional, and was the subject of a kudos letter to Guest Services.

This is a must breakfast for us every trip.
We love the all you can eat skillet.
Good food. and if you get a good server, very fun place to eat.

Ask for spare straw with your drink.

And while most people typically have ketsup with breakfast, try some ketsup with your meal.
They got a unque flavor to theirs you gotta try.

We've been twice and loved it both times - the food was good and the service is fantastic! The smores cheesecake is delicious! My mom and I have shared the skillet both times and thought it was great - I can't really see why people hate it so much!

We love WCC. People seem to either love or hate the skillet, but I had the meatloaf the last time we were there and it was delicious! The cornbread is also excellent.

We will be back there on our next trip.

I went last January with my DH, 2 kids and in-laws, and we all liked it a lot. I don't eat meat, and I found that the veggie burrito was delicious. DH had chicken and pasta, which he liked a lot as well. I think my FIL got the steak and enjoyed it; can't remember what MIL or the kids had, but we had a great meal. The ambience was fun, too.

None of us got the skillet, and I'm wondering if that's why we liked it so much. When I hear of negative reviews of WCC, they often center on the skillet.

I'm a big fan of WCC, but then I've also never had the skillet.

Friends of mine have their DVC 'home' in Wilderness Lodge, so I've eaten there so many times I've lost count. The food is good, but not super exceptional, but the service is awesome. It's such a casual, fun place to eat and very 'magical' in my opinion.
