of course, it goes with out saying that the main reason to go is the people!!

As much as I understand that and want to do that....you can also apply that to you and Dad.....the main reason to go is Dad. I think that's more important for you to go and be with him having fun while you can. You want to be with the THIEVES too, but you will have many more reunions with them. If you have to pick just one trip, it should be your Dad.

Does your Dad have his heart set on doing China? Maybe the two of you could go somewhere else less expensive.....maybe Thiland. I hear that it's beautiful and awesome and not so expensive.

Just a thought.....

Deb, $5000 sounds like a good estimate for the movers.

I haven't seen the new itineraries yet. I'll have to check that out tonight!

Thanks Ginamarie, I think we should be safe with that amount. It kills me because for that amount of money, I could have done a nice DCL cruise. hahahaha.

I hope you and family can do the reunion cruise GM. I would love to cruise with you all again.

It's good to be back. :yay: It will be fun to see how many Thieves can do it! Maybe we can start a few new traditions..... :cool2:

I hope we can get a good turnout. Maybe they will give us a group rate???

I would love to start some new traditions. What do you have in mind???

Disney Cruise line Blog is showing that in '14 and into '15 the port schedules are being held for the Fantasy weekly with an eastern itinerary and the Magic doing westerns...

and the possibility of the Wonder doing Carribeans also out of Miami... but they also are thinking that maybe the Fantasy being listed in so many locations at once maybe DCL's way of just holding port space for change in itineraries for the magic and the wonder.

This is what they are showing...

Just an idea.. but doesn't anyone want to book on the Magic again so we can see the new changes after they do the refurb this summer???

Deb - Dad's wanted to go see the Terra Cotta warriors for ages (plus the Wall), so that's what we will do. I know you all understand that I HAVE to go with Dad. No idea if this will be his last big trip or not. He just turned 78 & I know he doesn't want to travel much w/o Mom.

Same here... mom is 81 this year...

It's gonna be sad when I can't travel with her anymore.

YUP you have to go to China with Dad. You won't regret it, just think of how incredible that's going to be. There will be other Thieves reunions. That way you can do both.

The QM will never be in a position where she can't travel. She will be vital and full of vigor into her old age. She'll out run us all.

That's why I keep telling her to take her pills....

and drink Vodka...

but not together... :rotfl2:

Anyone notice on here that it shows a 14 night on the Fantasy in November of '14????????? Wonder what that will be about...

can't wait for the next set of itineraries/dates to come out. I want something different.

I think we can safely say that our current poll has ended. We only had 20 people respond, but I don't think you're going to get any others.

So let's decide what the next step is from here. Some people want to do Alaska (which is not currently being offered in the Summer of 2014) and some people want to do something warmer, like the Carribbean.

I think it's important to keep it for July so that more families can come.

Just my opinion. What does everybody else think?:rolleyes1:rolleyes1:rolleyes1:rolleyes1

I agree. We should have another poll when itineraries come out to vote on where everybody wants to go.

I would let him come home early from school and take a full day off tomorrow to let him sleep. He's not the type of kid to shirk from his responsibilities. He wants to go to school. But he called to forewarn you that he's having difficulty today and that it might lead to trouble. He's reaching out. I would help him to get over this hump and then let him know that in no means does it happen all the time. Just this one time only.

Awwww poor Tyler, he really does try hard. Help him out and give him a break and then hug him from me. He's such a great kid.

Thanks! He had a good nap after school (despite getting 11 hours of sleep last night) and seemed rested enough to still be able to go to his "home alone" class. He'll go to bed as soon as we get home after and I'm letting him sleep in tomorrow. Well, he never really sleeps in, but sleeping in for him might be 7:00. Whatever, the point is, no alarm clock in the morning, I'll let him wake up when he wakes up.

Tyler's dad is going to be so mad about me bringing him to this Home Alone class. He argued with me recently about how he feels Tyler is way to young to be home alone, and I disagree, blah blah blah, but since this class is taught by the sheriff's department and is for kids 10 and up, obviously the sheriffs department feels a 10 year old can be home alone for a bit. I leave him home when I go grocery shopping, but that's it so far. He's been asking to stay home the next snow day to sleep and play video games. LOL! So this class is preparing him for that. Too bad the only snow day so far this winter happened while he was at his dad's, because I would have let him stay home for a trial run.

No question there, of course! What a great time you'll have with Dad and wonderful memories made. :goodvibes

John is at the store getting more boxes. We have more packing out to do of the miscellaneous glass from the dining room area, but I think we're done for today. We put everything that's going with us out on the table. We'll wrap and pack it tomorrow. We have to pace ourselves so that we can keep going. Maybe we'll take Fridays off. We're both older and starting to feel it.

You have made such great progress! Great job!!! But yes, do pace yourselves.

Hey, maybe I should pretend we're packing up the house to move. Maybe that will help me declutter. ;)
