It has been so nice having John home with me all this week. I'm enjoying having his company everyday. He is going to have a hard time getting up at 5am again and going back to work next week. At least it's his last week and then he doesn't have to go back again at all after that.

I have an infection back on my right leg again. I have a lot of nerve pain. I have learned that the most nerve endings are on the surface of the skin. It sure feels it. I fought the pain for a couple of days and then I gave in. I couldn't tolerate it anymore so I took a half of a vicodin. It knocked me out and I've been sleeping a lot.

We're getting another snow storm tomorrow night during the rush hour drive home. The kid will be driving home alone.

While driving home during the last storm, John said he did a 360 degrees donut twice during the ride even though he was only going 20 mph the whole way home. He's an extremely experienced driver, the kid is not. I hope he makes it home without incident tomorrow night.

We're only supposed to get up to 3 inches, but the news said it going to be light and powdery falling on a cold pavement. They said that's going to be very slippery. Great!

I know, I know, been MIA for a while.... Can't let you have all the fun though :rotfl2:
So have I. But this is something I definitely want to be a part of...

The ship won't know what's hit it! :cool1::cool1::rotfl::rotfl:
:thumbsup2

I think we'll be having some private champagne girls gatherings every day of the cruise. That I woud like!!!

Oh YES!!! :goodvibes Pretty in pink please... :cloud9:

Sorry to hear this, Deb.. Take care, sweetie.. xxx

Hi Marilyn. John was asking about doing the QM2 to cross the pond then taking some time to explore England and Scotland before taking the return QM2 trip. Is that possible? Can you take the QM2 one way and then later take it one way back again or do you have to do an immediate round trip?

John is thinking that after we get settled in down in Florida, we can take longer vacations and we would love to do your country, but not have to fly.

You can do that indeed Deb. You just need to look at all the dates. You can even leave some bags with Cunard in Southampton while you tour and then they appear back outside your cabin on the way home. Great for the formal gear you don't want to cart around.

So sorry to hear that. Nerve pain is awful Can you get something from your doctor for that? I take Amitriptyline at night which is for the nerve pain I have but it helps me sleep too as a side effect. Wonderful.

lovely seeing all our UK friends coming back to visit!

Maz - how are you doing? How's John? The family? Loved hearing/reading your thoughts on the Cunard sailings you did. 1 day I will get on one of those ships (bucket list item). To be on a true ocean liner.

Deb - sorry about the nerve pain....that really sucks. Hopefully it will lessen soon. Can't believe John only has 1 more week of work left before retiring. Time has flown since you first mentioned Feb 1 as THE date. :rotfl2:

Cork - thanks for mentioning the reflux-I will talk to the dr about this the next time I go in. Can I have reflux with out feeling anything? :confused3 Voice is pretty good today, but I've have quite a few coughing spells.

Thanks Kaz, it will go away again soon.

Thanks Marilyn, that's great news! I love that you can leave some bags with Cunard and they take care of everything. That's fantastic! John and I will have to seriously look into doing this after he retires and we get settled in. I'm looking forward to it.

I have never heard of Amitriptyline. I will have to ask my doctors and see if it goes well with all my other medications. Is it a non-narcotic so that you can take it long term? I will look into it. Thanks Marilyn.

I want to do it too. Marilyn, I'm so happy that you have already tried it and could let us all know how it was. It sounds divine!!! It's a must do for me and John too. And it's reasonably priced. It makes it very doable.

Thanks Mon. But it's really no big deal. It's just pain. I expect it after five years of dealing with these legs. Thanks to Angel who is now six years old. That means that in June it will be six years for my legs too. It will go away again.

Time has gone very fast since I first mentioned Feb 1 as THE date. I recall Jackie retiring first. She just mentioned that she has been retired for 8 months already. At that time, I really started counting down John's date. Now it's almost here and it doesn't feel like it has been that long. It went fast. Then we have two months unitl we move in April. That's going to fly by and we'll be there in no time. I can't wait!

I have reflux. I take nexium and it takes care of it. If I forget to take my meds, it reminds me immediately. I feel a burning sensation. But I know that I have it very bad. It's worth mentioning to your doctor.

I'm glad your voice is getting better, but not good about the coughing spells. You need some good drugs to get rid of that once and for all.

Yep, you can have reflux and hoarseness be the only symptom.

Hi Deb, we don't know when we're going to do a reunion cruise....that's why we're doing the poll. I just suggested doing it in July or the summer vacation months so that families with kids would be able to go. I know it's more expensive. We'll see what happens at the end of the poll.

I'm glad that you'll be attending your friend's wedding onboard. That's going to be nice. I want to renew my vows onboard for our 25th wedding anniversary in September of 2015.

I'm surprised that Venice sold out. I know it's a popular port, but it's so very expensive. You could go there on another cruise line for so much less.yes, its cheaper but my cruise seem sell out well too

We're getting a lot of snow this year too. At least winter is now half over. We only have February and March still left to go. More snowing here but sleeting..

I'll have the February blues after the Superbowl gets played. So far, I've been watching all the playoff football games this month. After the Superbowl there's no more football until the next season. That's when I'll be blue.I am January blue...
