Ian, will the Treehouses actually be part of SSR or will they be 'sold' separately?

GOOD MORNING all! Please notice the addition to my clip art in my siggie! :woohoo:

Nothing much going on here yet...I've only been awake for a half hour :lmao:

I'll be back after a cup of tea....

Great job Jackie, Keep it up:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Very busy week here, trying to finish my research and presentations. Did a lot of research on how many hospital visits we are seeing because of energy drinks and energy drinks combined with alcohol. Scary! Esp. the amount of kids under 5 years old going to the hospital for energy drink overdose. And the abuse of OTC drugs and ADHD drugs. Also worked with the narcotics and DEA about all the new drugs on the market. Creepy. Now I'm under the gun to finish a huge presentation about addiction and the brain and how to move forward with proactive behavior.

sorry for you too, mine aren't ignorant, just drunk and therefore stupid. I just don't know how I would react to a comment like that in this day and age. I do have to say that my dad spoke very ignorantly when I was younger and fortunately as he aged he learned that he was wrong and changed his tune. Sadly, sometime my mom will slip with something like that. For her I don't think she believes what she says she is mimicing things from her childhood, such a different time.

My dad still does the same thing, he's so conservative to the right that he can't see any other way of life and hate spews out for any other way of thinking. But that is fueled from right wing talk radio -- so scary how there is no thought of any other ways of thinking or discussion.

my eyes failed me at 40, I was told this is common. :sad2:

Yep, 40 is the magic number!

My parents would NEVER and so it is so horrible to me that I wanted to throw up. I know things were different but I can't even imagine saying something like that, even then. I don't even know what it means really and what people are saying when they do say it. AND to say that you should shoot any presidential elect :scared1: he should be in jail. It's not American.

Agreed and scary!

Remember your parents are much younger than mine. I'm not saying it makes it right, just that they grew up in a different world. Mine still could have choosen the right path, but sometimes I think people need to grow into the right thing (as my parents did) when they come from a diffrent way of life. I know that hearing things as a child I chose not to feel that way. It hurt my deeply to hear racial & sexual slurs growing up. I knew from a very young age that I didn't think that way and my kids are taught it is wrong to think that way. I think we are somewhat lucky to live in California too. Much of the country is different that we are, frankly even northern vs southern ca is different in what is socially acceptable in lots of regards.

I really see how forward thinking we are when our relatives from the south visit us.

Car line rule breakers suck!!!!

You should see how many schools we visit where the parents show up drunk to car pool or pick up.

You're obviously very special and dear to DCL.

I got zilch.

Me too!

yes I understand the working for no money thing, Paul has many clients that are in distress and he does take their calls and spends his time and they don't pay :headache: The sad thing is once it is known that he represents someone and that someone gets sued he is contacted and "must" take the call until he relieves himself from representing that client. My DH is too nice a guy, he spends alot of time on the phone with calls like this and gets nothing in the end for it :sad2:

I think you and I are thinking about this and our future because we are the responsible ones that pay their debts and mortgages and don't have BKs and foreclosures. We would sell what we have before having a BK. It just isn't the way I think about credit. Heaven forbid something happened to one of us that caused us to go into debt for a medical reason or an unforseen natural disaster for that I could see a BK, but not based on over spending or over buying. For that situtation one needs to pull up their boot straps and work off the bills.

I wonder if there will be a day that I don't worry about the future. I know when my dad died at 78 he was still worried if he had enough saved for the care of my mother. He did and he does. I wish that burden had been removed for him. It's the fear of the unknown I guess :sad2:

I spent the week making sure that we weren't going to lose clients in this disaster, but next year we may really see a hit. It is frustrating that those of us who are paying our bills get no relief no matter how much we are struggling right now. BUT many who didn't will get a little help and those who caused it will get lots of help. :scared1:

Our weather report says low 30s(F) or high 20s overnight tonight! WHAT THE HECK?! That's not supposed to happen the first few days of October, heck that's not supposed to happen until the END OF NOVEMBER! :scared1:

EEEEEKKKKK, we were 98 degrees at the beach this week and today there is a storm coming down from the north that is causing 68 degrees and we are freezing! We may actually get some rain for the first time in 7 months.

Light sprinkling & mid 60s here today, but we went out anyways. Our girl scouts went to make a scarecrow, Jack ScareCrow to be exact, picture to follow tomorrow when he is complete. The boys are out for a little league game.

We are going to head over to Half Moon Bay later today, I have to check and see if it is clear over there.:thumbsup2

I believe they will be sold separately, though I could be wrong.

Good Morning Jackie.....it's a good day for you. Congratulations on the weight loss. You're doing great! Hip Hip Hooray! :lovestruc  :lovestruc

I, on the otherhand, just returned from vacation and gained back the 3lbs I lost before going plus 1 more lb. for a total of 4 lbs. Not too bad for 10 days off diet. I will stick with it again starting Monday.

Keep up the great job Jackie.

Hi Holly! How did the popcorn sales go??? Did you and Tyler manage to stay warm???
It was fun, stayed warm with a jacket, not very well organized though, not sure how much we sold because the person in charge of the popcorn will total up the sales and divide it between the 6 boys who came.

OH MY GOSH, 2 boys just came to my door and asked if they could mow my yard for FIVE DOLLARS! :scared1: Well, um, YEAH, sure! ;) What a bargain!

UH OH! I think my grass broke their mower. :scared: They had to turn it over and get stuff of the blades and Tyler freaked out because they weren't being safe. ;)

This is TOOOOO funny! Since these kids are strangers, Tyler's running back and forth from window to window to make sure they finish the job or something! He's giving me a play by play account of everything they're doing. Gee, think I should let my kid watch tv for entertainment sometimes? If he thinks watching somebody mow is exciting, I must be depriving him too much of mindless tv entertainment! :rotfl2:

This is sure taking my mind off my rotten kid! Too funny! :lmao:

OK, I'll quit boring you with my yard saga. But Tyler's super excited because they're blowing the cut grass off our sidewalk! We usually just sweep it back into the yard when I mow, so we're getting special treatment for that FIVE DOLLARS! ;)

Did I scare everybody away? Deb, are you all unpacked?

Well, I'm going to see if I can find anything on TV to finally sit and relax. Long day, ready to rest. I'm going to go eat a few pumpkin white chocolate chip cookies! Yummy! I'll try not to get into the pumpkin pie until tomorrow though. :goodvibes Sorry, not nice of me to say around all the dieters, but I go pumpkin crazy this time of year. Yesterday for lunch I went out and got a pumpkin shake (and a burger too, but my main focus was on the shake). :cloud9:

Happy Saturday everybody!

Ian - Hope your feeling better :grouphug:

Deb - glad to hear your home and a gain of 4lbs if fantastic for a 10day vacation!

Jackie - congrats on your new siggie piece! Sounds like the diet/food plan your on is working for you!

Gaylean - did you write a reminder on your calendar for the course you want to sign up for Nov 12? I have to write everything down or it gets forgotten. :lmao:

Venetia - \i'm glad you shared the email - we never got it. :sad1:

Nan - good luck to Paul with his interview :)

Woody - your trip sounds amazing! Will you be sharing any pictues?

Kathe & Jill - you must be excited about your upcoming trips!

Monica - 5 hrs at the dentist sounds crazy! But its better than going 5 Monday's in a row like Ken just did  His mouth is finally feeling better.

A day trip to the mountains sounds wonderful.

Up here in Chicago, we don't have the most interesting terrain around. A slight incline is considered a summit.

I am very exctied about the mountain. We are going to Cade's Cove and I have never been before. I will take my camera tommrow and post pics.

Work was not near as bad as I thought it would be. They apologized and said everything was fixed now. Also I get to work overnight Nov1&2 to set up the christmas stuff. I am sooo excited and so are they as everyone dreads those nights except me, I get super exctied. So all is well for now and I was bouncing around singging I leave for vacation in 14 DAYS. :cool1:

Sure... rub it in why don't ya!!! :lmao:

Oh Jill if we didn't love you... we'd be more than just jealous!!!

Hi All!!!

Mom and I had a very nice day... took pics just for Bubba... will post some tomorrow - I'm blitzed and may go to sleep at real human hours... :upsidedow

It's mighty quiet around here.

We were bored this afternoon so we took a walk. We were out for over 2 hours. I looked at my pedometer and I did about 13,900 steps, so I guess we did a fair bit of walking.

The weather has turned a bit nippy, but not too bad, a fairly warm 52F.

Another early night for me. I've got my three WW meetings in the morning.

Luckily, I'm feeling much better, although I'm still coughing, my throat is not as sore as it was.
------

Deb - will you be posting more photos from your vacation?
