OK, here's the detailed version of what happened today. It's very scary.

One boy in class said something that made him mad, so Tyler pushed him and then ran into the bathroom. The teacher thinks he might have ran to hide in the bathroom to keep himself from losing control more, but we don't know. He wouldn't come out, so the art teacher came in to try to get him out. He opened the door and grabbed her arm and bit her. She went to get the social worker/psychologist for help. She tried to talk to him but he was enraged and sputtering nonsense words.

She sat outside the door waiting for him to come out but before she could react, he flung the door open, ran past her into the classroom, jumped on another kid and slammed the kid's head into the desk, then it took 2 adults to try to restrain him (the social worker/psychologist and the principal). They had to carry him, kicking and screaming and thrashing to the office where they both had to physically restrain him until he calmed down because he grabbed scissors off the principal's desk and tried to stab the school social worker/psychologist telling her he was going to kill her and that she was chosen to die.

They were afraid of me being alone with him today because they've never seen him like that and were really scared. They said his voice changed into a gutteral tone and his eyes were glazed over like he wasn't even in there. I jokingly told them it sounds like I need to call an exorcist (I told them I have to joke or I'll cry from frustration).

So he's doing schoolwork and cleaning here at home. NO fun stuff for him at all.

Still waiting to hear from the psychiatrist's office, but probably won't get a call back until tomorrow because he's not in the office on Wednesdays.

I already talked to his dad and he's just as shocked as I am.

:grouphug: Holly, sending prayers and hugs for both you and Tyler :grouphug: That is scary, I'm so sorry for both of you that this is something you are having to deal with. I don't know what to say, except that my thoughts are with you both  I know you will get the help you need, but I know it doesn't make today any easier.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY DEBORAH & IAN!!!!

:lovestruc :lovestruc
Morning all. Just a quick skim. Great photos Deb and Bubba. Thanks for posting. Sorry to those of you with problems with children. Love and:grouphug: to you all.

Enjoying our lazy life still. Played crazy golf this morning while waiting for the apartment to be cleaned. Supposed to rain today which is surprising the locals as the raini season doesn't start till the end of November. Then, it is only a few inches a month for 3 months!:)

Wash your mouth out with soap and water young lady!!

That is so sad Nan. Sorry you are dealing with this. Don't feel bad about having a laugh - you need that.

Bless you Holly!! I know you must be scared and worried right now. Seems like they may not have his diagnosis right yet. Hang in there, I know it must be hard.

Jan - you're too sweet :cutie:

I know my father has grown leaps & bounds w/ his knowledge of depression, suicidal tendencies & eating disorders since I "enlightened" both my parents after college (they had NO clue what had been happening w/ me). He's not so bad now even though every once in a while he lets a stupid comment out (but don't we all at times :lmao: ). I know how he was brought up, and how society thought about mental illness back then.

I'm stressing about my parents and have a headache today, but am thankful that I'm doing better---it's amazing how depression really affects every aspect of one's life. Glad tomorrow is Friday & I get to see some good friends this weekend.

How are YOU doing?

Monica,
I hope this doesn't come out wrong, but reading about how you are overcoming depression is an eye-opener. My aunt appears to struggle with depression, and suffers greatly, but won't take action. I'm in a different town, so there is little I can do, other than call her and leave messages. I used to get so frustrated because she does not respond, but I'm starting to understand how difficult it is for her. So I'll continue to leave messages and reach out. So thank for for sharing your struggles and successes :hippie:

:cool1: Okay I'm only 60 pages behind now, but I think I will actually be able to get onto disboards tonight and get caught up! We got the electrical wiring changes finished last night in our kitchen. The drywallers are starting their thing today. This weekend is busy with MIL and then TobyKeith concert, so next weekend it'll be paint the walls and put in the floor! After that its just putting the cabinets together and mounting them. It's all coming together (just way too slowly!)

Happy Wed everybody!

Would love to join you if you can squeeze me in....what day/time?

I just want to see you guys & if I get extra family in the process....:thumbsup2

Good, I'll talk with my sister next week (she is off in Mexico today) I'm sure you will blend right into the hoard of us. I think we are up to 17 people now :scared1:

I think dinner is early at 4pm???? She has the details, I'll double check that next week too ! Xmas Day 12/25. I keep forgetting to answer all of the questions at once, hope you got all the info between my edits...

I swear I did this all in CAPS - why didn't it stay in CAPS???

FINALLY!

Congrats :thumbsup2

Deb, so glad you're getting a much deserved relaxing vacation :thumbsup2
You talking about the Tink T-shirt made me think about the "we're in the lifeboat" T-shirts you sent some of us , I'm thinking of wearing mine to the lifeboat drill on our Tortola cruise  :lmao:

Kathe

I wore mine yesterday :flower3: (thanks Deb), everyone knows I'm a Disney freak, so nothing new here :rotfl2:

Thanks for the opinion. I don't know what to do. I keep telling him to play with someone else and when he does his "best friend" will play with him again and we start this whole thing over again. He just keeps asking me why his friend would be friends with someone so mean. This kid is mean to everyone, not just Ethan.

Gaylean, sorry for the struggles. Wilson has a friend @ school that is like this too. I never can understand why he keeps going back to play with him. This year Wil told me he had a new best friend at school, I'm relieved. They hang out and fly paper airplanes together. Low stress :thumbsup2 I have never gotten involved in the issue with Wilson and his friend since he seems to be making the choice to play with this kid, I figured it was his battle to fight. On the other hand, Molly had a bully from K-2nd grage, that girl I had no problem checking in with her parents, teachers etc...to get Molly in a safe place. She was one of the those "frenemy" girls, they pretend to be friendly and then stab ya in the back when no one was looking. Poor Molly she never saw it coming. Fortunately that girl moved so we only see her randomly now at other friends bday parties (but those are awful) the strange thing is that the parents are both really nice, just not heavy handed enough with their mean daughter in my mind. :sad2: Good luck and remember, sometimes venting to us helps you heal ::yes::

Holly  I can't offer any words of advice, but many  and prayers are coming your way.

You know Shannon...I'm in the same deal with a friend of mine. Her Husband is really suffering... they've been through alot in the last 15 years... they got married, lost a child at birth, had 2 difficult pregnancies, he lost his job, then went to work in her family business (which is stressfull enough...) then they adopted a little girl from China.

Any one of those would have sunken a person... I keep trying to tell them that they need to get some guidance and help, but the old stereotypes hold them back. Unfortunately everyone suffers.

I know what it's like because I've been going through it since I was a teenager. It runs in the family and we actually lost one of my cousins to an accidental overdose because he was just trying to kill the pain. He ended up killing himself.

It's tough.:grouphug:

Hi All.....we had the very best day today once again. Here's some more pictures:
