You know.. Mom said that she didn't think she'd want to sail again unless she was with friends... :goodvibes she said it would be so lonely...

::yes:: I figure it would be a great trip with my 10 year old son ::yes::

I've justified the deposit, we just stopped the house cleaner that saved me $200 per month, so that is my cruise money. Of course now I better go and mop the floors :scared1:

I won't leave here, too many friends

Nan

You made me laugh now :rotfl: :rotfl:

mop the floor with your hairscraft on your hair with *** :rotfl: :rotfl:

Well it saved $200 per month

I don't think there will be as many FE people this time... we might have to go solo... instead of teams... :scared1:

no FE for me. I don't have my pack mule to carry luggage, although Wilson is a mini Paul in that vain :rolleyes1

Hi kids....patiently waiting to hear from DU and Monica.....NOT! We've exchanged a few nail biting e-mails. I'm going to have to make a pro/con list for the Baltic and the WBTA, so I remember to consider things other than just the initial outlay. I may be holding two reservations (Baltic/WBTA) for a year or so!

....back to work....

Oh knock it off... you're doing one because Will loves to get gifts every day... We'll just ship the stuff to my hotel before the cruise... If for nothing else... we'd make a good team again... I'll just make planky make them all... :lmao: :thumbsup2 :lmao:

Oh, how sweet!

Time of year and itinerary. I also like the idea of only having to return home from FL, as that's the part of the journey I hate the most and it would be less painful/stressful than coming back from Europe.

.

I was just perusing the thread about the bookings... looks like more people are looking at the WB cause it hits the islands, etc... it's also more though... oh well...

Maybe we'll have the ship to ourselves...

So Nan... so far 2 of us (maybe Kathe too...) in for the Champagne Girls??? We might have to roll pennies for a bottle of Dom... ;)

I don't drink champange :snooty: unless it's Dom :snooty:

Don't laugh, he might just make that offer :lmao: Seriously, he has another interview tomorrow (fingers crossed) and if he gets work he won't come with us. That's ok. We are going to be crowded anyways 5 people in one cabin. I'm still trying to figure out who is sleeping where. I want to take the murphy bed by the verdana door, but I doubt my mom would share the bed with Paul. Maybe she and Molly can have the bed, Wilson gets the top bunk, Paul the bottom and me the murphy, that might work

yes so far :rolleyes1 but since there are 4 and Ian and Sukie don't "spa" we are safe. Now watch the rest of that thread and we can secure our spots.

Book it, book it, book it. Was it the return airfare that makes you not want to do it?

I'm loving the idea of 14 days again :goodvibes I'm nervous about rough seas but I don't get seasick so I need to just get over that idea and run with it :woohoo:

The biggest reason we're not doing it is because we don't want to go across the pond in the smaller boats. We want to wait until the bigger boats come into play. Just because we don't want the surprise of running into rough seas for long periods of time. We have been on rough seas with our Sept. bookings. But they always keep you out of harms way and it doesn't last for more than a day. Crossing the pond is BIG water......6 days......I can't do it in the smaller ships. I'm not comfortable. John feels the same. We'll wait for the big boats.

Sorry we'll miss you and the party. I will be thinking of you. But I'm going for a southern caribbean and back to swimming with my sea turtles again. You'll have to post updates and reports for us to follow.:wizard: :dance3: :wizard:

OH YES, please have a Champagne Girls party.....even if you're just drinking rum! We must all carry on the tradition on each of the cruises that we go on. Then we can share our pictures. Wouldn't that be so great!

I looked at the map of the area last night after seeing it on the news and I think all of our group was safe from it. But I bet they will be getting crummy air for the next few days.

Thanks for that Nan. Has it been a particularly bad year or is this just normal?

I gave up on booking this morning and called Ken to tell him I couldn't get on. He tried and got through no problems, but we were thinking it was $100pp deposit and its $300 so decided not to book and just wait and see.

Between paying for our kitchen reno, and my hoping to change jobs, it just didn't seem the right time to spend $1200.

Sounds like everybody that wants to book has been able to get what they want, so hopefully it works out great for everybody.

Does anybody know when the 50% deposit sale ends? (just in case I change my mind):confused3

Hi Marilyn,
I think the season has just started. I was able to book our cabin on the WB TA this afternoon. Hopefully you will be joining us!

The 50% deposit ends on October 31. That is only for online bookings however.

Unfortunately I think this is normal for this time of year, but it has seemed bad to me. We in the north don't have as many fires as in the southern part of CA.

The temps are changing, it's not as wet as it used to be :sad2:
